Today has been a lovely day at the centre... we have had three adoptions! 🌞

Athena, Jess and Simon have all managed to get their second chance today.. to start a new happy life with a loving family. 💙

Athena has been with us for a whopping 198 days.. today she finally gets to see the back of the cattery and live the life she has been after this whole time. 😻

Jess has landed on all 4 paws with her family, who have done countless meet and greets with her to help her become comfortable and happy with them; after spending lots of her life worried about men. 🐾

And our Simon has found himself a home full of love where he can learn what it is to be a spoilt puppy. 🥰

Everyone give a gentle greeting to our sweet Phoebe- a senior girl at 11 years old looking for her retirement home.
Phoebe came to us shy, unsure but curious. She spent her first few days hiding in her bed, but accepting a calm stroke if you went to her. Now, when someone approaches her pod she will jump out of her bed with a big meow ready for her daily dose of attention. Once Phoebe’s purrs start, they almost never stop! She loves her strokes, rubbing against you as you give her them. Sometimes she can get a little overstimulated from all the excitement and may give you a gentle bat (with no claws) to show that she is unsure.
Phoebe is a girl on the larger side of life, she needs her food intake monitoring to help her lose some more weight. At the centre, we have also noticed that Phoebe sheds a lot. She may need frequent brushing to help her lose some of her excess fur. She really enjoys a brush and a groom, so this would be a fantastic way to help build a bond.
We believe that Phoebe will thrive in a home as the only pet, where all the attention is focused on her. Phoebe would do best in a home with children ages 15+, and ideally where someone is around for the most of the day

A huge Thank you to everyone who came along to our event on 7th September! Despite the rainy weather, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and great community spirit. 💙

We’re so grateful to all who braved the rain to join us, and a special shoutout to our amazing stall holders for their support and energy throughout the day. 🙌

We are looking for a special home for Snoopy, our 15kg spaniel cross, who we believe deserves a chance at her forever home despite her challenges. We are seeking an adoptive forever home where Snoopy can continue to work through her medical issues and thrive in an environment that suits her.

Snoopy is a wonderful dog - friendly and sweet with everyone she meets. She recently spent the night at a staff member’s house where they described her as ‘lovely in the home’.

She is currently on a special urinary diet, which we recommend she continues. She is also undergoing veterinary monitoring for a skin condition.

Snoopy loves getting out and about, exploring and sniffing the world around her. However, she is reactive towards other dogs and needs to be exercised away from them.

Last Sunday, we held our Summer Fair here at the Animal Centre. The weather was not on our side and it rained all day 🌧
Despite this, our wonderful supporters still attended and helped make it a great success! ❤️
We would like to say a massive to all who attended!
We managed to raise a huge £2000!! 🥳
The money raised will now go back into helping with the running costs of the Centre. Thank you to our fabulous staff & volunteers for running the day!! We couldn't do it without you ❤️
In the photos you will see all our winners from the 🐕 🐾 thank you for taking part, our inspector struggled picking the winners as all the dogs deserved to win.

Also, a massive thank you to Saber Training for putting on an amazing agility display 👏 Your support is greatly appreciated 😃
