If you’ve listened to the album version on “One More Glass of Whiskey”, you’ll know this is one of my most personal songs.

I’ve been affected by periods of depression most of my adult life but never acknowledged them for what they were till last year when I was diagnosed with bipolar.

So this song’s kinda about that. But it’s not all sad - honestly I think there’s a lot of positivity in it. The idea that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if you can’t see it.

And it’s a tribute to those people in our lives who are there for us through the worst times and provide that support, that anchor when we feel untethered and out of control. Thanks for throwing us some rope when we’re drowning.
