Exciting new role for veterinary surgeon in renowned hospital
Location: Swindon, Veterinary Hospital
Salary: Up to £65,000 D.O.E.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week, 4-day week with a 1 in 8 weekend rotation (2 days in lieu the following week)
Are you a passionate Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical focus? Our client in Swindon is looking for someone like you to join our supportive and collaborative team! This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a friendly, multi-disciplinary hospital environment and is eager to develop both personally and professionally.
About the Role:
• Full-time position with a 4-day working week and minimal on-call duties (thanks to an on site ECC team).
• Primarily based at the hospital, with some rotation through the consulting-only branches.
• Join a close-knit team of 13 Vets and enjoy an open culture of case discussions and shared learning.
• They are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a Surgical Certificate (or those pursuing one).
Key Requirements:
Veterinary Degree registrable in the UK for full MRCVS status. Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Passion for teamwork and a commitment to providing excellent care.

Ref:7567 Our client has two well established practices in the Arbroath area and are looking for a Full or Part Time Small Animal Vet to join the team.

The clinics are both within easy reach of mountains, beaches and the bright lights of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Dundee. Both clinics are equipped with iM3 dental machines, digital radiology and Idexx biochemistry and haematology equipment, as well as fully equipped operating theatres. There are two Clinical Directors, an experienced Vet and a 2nd year graduate. The practice has 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses who now run their own clinics, doing nail clips, post-op discharges and examinations, blood pressure monitoring and blood sampling. There are also have 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 3 FTE Receptionists, an Animal Care Assistant and Practice Manager. They undertake a large amount of work for the local Cats Protection branch and have now started a dedicated cat clinic.

The role would suit an experienced clinician who is ready to take on more responsibilities and help to develop the skills and knowledge of more recent graduates. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team. If you are looking to specialise, they can provide that opportunity, whether you would like to study for a certificate or offer specialist services or treatments. They have varied surgical and medical caseloads and you will have clinical freedom to follow your own cases with daily opportunities for operating. They operate and consult in both sites every day so there is a varied caseload throughout the day. This is a full time role working 4.5-day week, 40 hours per week with Saturday mornings shared on an equal rota. There are no out of hours.

Salary for this role is up to £65k pa DOE, a welcome bonus of £5k and there is a relocation allowance of £7.5k if required.

7613 Our client is a well-established, single site practice serving the Hastings and Bexhill area. They are now looking for a Full Time Head Veterinary Nurse to lead the nursing team.

The practice has high client numbers and a varied caseload. The practice is well equipped with a full range of diagnostic and laboratory equipment, digital X-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, blood analysers and much more. East Sussex is steeped in history, with beautiful countryside, stunning coastline, and an abundance of choice within the arts, sports, and leisure scenes, with something to suit everyone. The area has excellent transport links to Brighton, London, and Gatwick Airport. Brighton: 45 minutes by car and train, Central London: 1hr by train, Gatwick Airport: 1hr by car and train.

The day-to-day duties are rotated between in-patient care, theatre duties, assisting with imaging, lab work and consulting, rotas and assisting the Practice Manager, If you have a drive for clinical excellence, teamwork and clinic care this role is perfect for you. You will work 40 hours across 5 days, with a 1:3 share in the Saturday rota but no OOH. They are looking for a progressive and friendly team member who has already obtained a degree of general clinical experience. A drive for clinical excellence, teamwork and clinic care are essential qualities.

The team is a very kind, friendly and fun team that offers clients and patients the highest standard of care. The vets offer a wealth of experience with several certificate holders including surgery, cardiology, medicine and one of the vets has a keen interest in exotics. There is a team of 3 dedicated Nurses, a Student Nurse, plus 4 Support team members.

There is an excellent package available including a salary of up to £38k pa DOE, 6.6 weeks holiday which increases based on length or service, a generous CPD allowance, private medical insurance and many other benefits.
