When someone gets attacked by a dog, it’s so easy to instantly blame the dog. When actually as a responsible owner and someone who has decided that having a dog is what they want to do. It’s your fault YOU the owner should either spend the time training, building a relationship or at the very least having the decency to put that dog on a lead in public places, to help the dog deal with the situation better.

It’s really annoys me that irresponsible owners just blame the dog which ends up resulting in the poor dog been punished or worse put to sleep through actually no fault of their own.

Do not get a dog then fail them in such a huge way that this happens!!!!!

Ps I am In no way blaming anyone who gets attacked and feel for them and the dog in this situation 🥰🐾🐶 rant over

🚫🚫🚫Warning 🚫🚫🚫

Parvo virus has been confirmed in Halifax.
Parvovirus in dogs can cause severe diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy, fever, and weight loss. The disease can be fatal in a matter of days without treatment.
Symptoms
Diarrhoea: Severe, bloody diarrhea with a foul smell
Vomiting: Vomiting can be severe
Lethargy: Dogs can become severely lethargic
Loss of appetite: Dogs may suddenly stop eating
Fever: Dogs may have a high fever
Weight loss: Dogs can lose a lot of weight
Dehydration: Dogs can become dehydrated quickly due to fluid loss
Abdominal pain: Dogs may experience abdominal pain
Pale gums: Dogs may have pale gums

If you notice any of these symptoms in your dog, you should seek veterinary care immediately. Puppies and older dogs are the most susceptible to parvovirus and are at an increased risk of becoming dehydrated. However dogs that are immune compromised can become extremely ill. Vaccinated dogs can also contract it and be ill.

Dogs contract parvo through contact with infected faeces or contaminated objects.
It attacks the lining of the small intestine, and can also affect the bone marrow and heart.

Pick up your 💩💩💩

Any signs of ill health contact your vet ASAP for advise!!!

And a warm flask to help the snow balls thaw out on the spaniels.
