Wow, this heat is certainly giving us an even more increased work load!

Early morning and later turnout periods for the babies.

Retirement and youngstock liveries whilst they always have shade, they are getting more checks, extra water stops and nice wet feeds.
Thankfully none have needed to be brought in as plenty of shelter areas and all staying chilled and happy.

Fly rugs, fly spray, sun cream everywhere.

Vets here daily due to breeding season so that also gives us reassurance we have everything we need should anything struggle with the heatwave.

Our last foal of the season arrived this week, a little earlier than planned but all ok!

Out of our wonderful C1 mare Jazz and with a superstar Sire, C1 Carrigfada Grey Mist.

With his lovely future owners plan on him staying with us on youngstock livery, handling etc until he is ready as a 3/4yo.
This allows them to get to know him, have the reassurance that he is handled and started correctly and not rushed.
