Did you know? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿฑ

Diabetes can affect cats too.

During Diabetes Week (8th-14th June), we're encouraging cat owners to learn the signs of feline diabetes, including increased thirst, weight loss and changes in appetite.

The good news is that with early diagnosis and proper treatment, many diabetic cats can continue to enjoy a great quality of life.

A little awareness can make a big difference to a cat's future, find out more here: https://www.cats.org.uk/help-and-advice/health/diabetes ๐Ÿ’›

Diabetes in cats is becoming an increasingly common health issue but there are ways you can treat it once your cat has been diagnosed. Find out more.

Miss Darcy is a lovely 16-year-old girl looking for a loving retirement home where she can enjoy her golden years. She is a friendly, affectionate lady who enjoys having a bit of company and is happiest when spending time and head bopping with her favourite people.

She has a wonderful purr and loves attention. When she feels she hasn't quite had enough fuss, she'll gently reach out with her paw to let you know she'd like a little more.

Miss Darcy has spent many years as an indoor car and is very comfortable with that lifestyle, so we would consider an indoor-only home for her. But also dhe would be fine with a home where she could safely enjoy some outdoor time in a secure garden or enclosed environment.

Miss Darcy is a sweet companion with lots of love still to give. If you're looking for an affectionate friend to share your home with, she could be the perfect match.

Happy Farm Cat Friday! ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›๐Ÿ’œ

What better way to start the weekend than with a fairy tale ending from our United Kingdom Cat Centre? Meet Milly and Dillon, stars of one of our wonderful outdoor homing success stories. ๐Ÿก๐ŸŒณ

Dillon was adopted from Cats Protection a few months ago, and more recently Milly joined him at her new home at a stable yard๐Ÿด

When Milly arrived in Cats Protection care she was quite wary of people. However, she was happy to observe from a distance and watch the world go by. A stable yard proved to be the perfect environment for her, allowing her the freedom to simply be a cat with no expectations placed upon her, while still having the opportunity for human interaction if and when she chooses.

It didnโ€™t take long for Milly and Dillon to become the best of friends. They can often be found snuggled up together or exploring their surroundings side by side. As the photos show, these two happy cats who both came from similar backgrounds are truly living their dream life.

Some cats thrive in outdoor homes such as farms, stables, smallholdings, and similar environments. Milly and Dillon are wonderful examples of how the right home can help cats flourish, and they are incredibly lucky to have found the perfect place to call their own and they are very much adored by their adopter๐Ÿ˜ป
