🧡 A heartfelt thank you 🧡

We just wanted to say a huge and very personal thank you to everyone who has donated, shared or supported our GoFundMe so far.

We honestly didn’t expect such an incredible initial response, and it has meant so much to us.

Our £15,000 target is there to help us recover some of the costs we incurred while trying to make the Chantry Park project a reality — including planning work, architects’ drawings, licensing, professional fees and legal costs.

We fully appreciate that these costs should not simply be passed on to our loyal clients. But after investing so much into a project we truly believed in, we now need to rebuild those funds so we can move forward with the next opportunity when it comes.

And we are determined that there will be a next chapter. 🐾

Wherever it happens, and whenever it happens, our aim remains the same — to create more capacity, offer more services and continue supporting the many existing and future clients who trust JAWS with the care of their animals.

Every donation, every share and every kind message really does help us move one step closer.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. 🧡

We are soooooo sorry!!!!!!!

🐾💚 **A little ask from us, with a very full heart…** 💚🐾

As many of you know, JAWS, Paws and Claws has grown because of the incredible trust, kindness and loyalty of our amazing clients and community.

After months of hard work on a project we truly believed would help us support more dogs and families, we have sadly been left with a very difficult setback. It has been emotional, frustrating and incredibly hard to process — but we are not giving up. 🐶❤️

Our services are now in such high demand that we urgently need to grow into an additional site and premises, so we can continue caring for the dogs who rely on us and support the families who need us.

We know times are hard for so many people, so please know there is absolutely no pressure. But if you are able to donate, share, or simply help spread the word, it would mean more to us than we can put into words. 🐾

Every share, every kind message, every donation, and every bit of support helps us take one step closer to recovering, rebuilding and growing again.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for standing with us. 💚

Jay & the JAWS, Paws and Claws family 🐶🐾

💧 Hose Pipe Ban – A Message to Our Community 💧

Like everyone else, we fully support the introduction of the hose pipe ban and recognise why these measures are necessary. Water is a precious resource, and we all have a responsibility to use it wisely.

As a registered professional pet care business, we are fortunate to fall within the exemption that allows essential water use for the health, welfare and safety of the animals in our care.

This means that, where necessary, you may still see us:

🐾 Filling and topping up our dog paddling pools to help keep dogs safe and cool.
🧼 Washing down outdoor areas, equipment and facilities.
🚿 Pressure washing surfaces to maintain hygiene, infection control and health & safety standards.
💦 Carrying out other essential water use required to meet our legal and welfare obligations.

Every drop of water we use is for a genuine welfare or hygiene purpose, and we remain committed to using it responsibly, efficiently and without waste.

As many of you know, we’re based on Clopton Gardens, Hadleigh, so if you happen to hear a pressure washer or see us using a hose, please don’t assume we’re ignoring the restrictions. We are operating within the exemptions that exist to protect the animals entrusted to our care.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support during this period. Together, we can all do our bit to conserve water while ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare continue.

Thank you for your continued support.

A message to our lovely clients 🐾

We are really sorry to share that from 1st August 2026, our listed website prices will increase by 10%.

This is not a decision we have made lightly. In fact, we have worked incredibly hard to avoid increasing our prices and have proudly kept them unchanged for 5 years.

Sadly, like many small businesses, we are now facing continued increases in the cost of living, minimum wage, insurance, fuel, supplies, professional services, and the day-to-day running costs involved in providing safe, reliable and professional pet care.

We truly do not want to do this, but in order to continue delivering the high standard of care, reliability, safety and personal service that your pets deserve, this change has become necessary.

Please be reassured that:

🐾 All existing bookings will remain at the current rate
🐾 Any bookings made before 1st August 2026 will be charged at the current rate
🐾 Loyalty client discount rates will remain in place
🐾 We recommend booking any 2026 and 2027 services before 1st August 2026 to secure your spaces early and keep the current rate

We know price increases are never welcome news, and we are genuinely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you, as always, for your continued kindness, loyalty and support. We are so grateful to care for your wonderful pets and to have such amazing clients behind our small local business.

With love and thanks,
Jay and the JAWS team

We want to say a big THANK YOU to our JAWSome clients 💛🐾 Thank you for trusting us and for allowing us to adapt our services during the extreme weather recently, your support means everything.
We’ve been busy with early‑morning walks 🌅, cooling jackets ❄️, garden visits 🌿 and plenty of water fun 💦 , all to make sure your four‑legged legends stay safe, comfortable and happy in the heat.
Your flexibility helps us give every pet the care they deserve, no matter the weather. We appreciate you more than you know ✨🐾

People often tell us how lucky we are to spend our days caring for animals... and they're absolutely right. 💜

Being trusted to care for your beloved pets is one of the greatest privileges we could ever ask for. They become part of our daily lives, our routines, and our hearts. Every wagging tail, happy purr, excited greeting, and quirky personality leaves its mark on us.

But there is one part of this job that never gets easier.

Saying goodbye.

When one of our furry friends crosses the Rainbow Bridge, we don't just lose a client—we lose a member of our extended family. We grieve alongside their families because we loved them too. We cry the same tears, remember the same happy moments, and feel the same empty space they've left behind.

To every pet we've had the honour of knowing, thank you for letting us be part of your journey. You made our lives brighter, and we'll carry a piece of you in our hearts forever.

Run free over the Rainbow Bridge, beautiful souls. Until we meet again. 🌈🐾❤️

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Absolutely heartbroken and furious.

With temperatures soaring across the country, it is beyond belief that so many animal-focused events are still going ahead as though it’s business as usual.

Dogs are still being walked in the middle of the day. Horses are still competing at events. Country shows, dog shows, small animal shows and other gatherings involving animals are still attracting huge numbers despite the risks that extreme heat can pose.

Animals cannot tell us when they are overheating. They cannot choose to stay home, find shade or say, “I’ve had enough.” They rely entirely on us to make the right decisions on their behalf.

Every owner, organiser and participant has a duty to put animal welfare before schedules, competitions, rosettes, entertainment or profit. No event is worth risking an animal’s health or life.

If the weather is too hot, be prepared to change your plans. Walk dogs early or late, provide constant access to fresh water and shade, avoid unnecessary travel and exercise, and ask yourself one simple question:

Is this really in the animal’s best interests?

Animals are not here for our convenience. They are living, feeling beings that deserve compassion, protection and respect.

Let’s stop putting tradition and routine ahead of welfare. During a heatwave, the kindest decision is often the one that keeps animals safely at home.

An Open Letter to Our Community

To our clients, supporters, friends, fellow dog lovers, and the wider Suffolk and Essex community,

This is not an easy message to write.

Over the past few months, JAWS, Paws and Claws has been working incredibly hard on what we believed would be a very special community project at the former Chantry Park Bowls Pavilion in Ipswich.

Our vision was simple: to bring an underused community space back to life and create something positive, useful and professionally managed for local dog owners, park visitors and the wider community.

The proposed project would have included a dog day care and activity camp, a public self-service dog wash, food and drink for dog owners and park users, and a safe, structured environment where dogs could be cared for, enriched and supported by experienced professionals.

For us, this was never just about business growth.

It was about creating something meaningful.

It was about helping more families access trusted, high-quality dog care.
It was about giving more dogs safe spaces to play, socialise and thrive.
It was about improving access to services that our local community is clearly asking for.
And it was about making better use of an existing community asset.

Since October 2025, we invested months of time, energy, professional advice, planning, design work, site layouts, business plans, operational assessments and resources into this project.

Throughout the process, we believed things were moving forward constructively and in good faith. Heads of Terms had been exchanged, and we genuinely believed a mutually acceptable lease agreement was progressing.

Sadly, after months of work, we were informed by Ipswich Borough Council that the project would not be going ahead.

The reason given by Ipswich Borough Council related to the heritage significance of Chantry Park and the close proximity to the Mansion.

We fully respect the importance of protecting the park’s heritage. However, we are devastated that these concerns were only raised after so much time, work and commitment had already been invested.

For a small independent business, this has been a heartbreaking and deeply frustrating setback.

We have invested significant resources into professional advice, planning work, design costs, business development, operational planning and time that could have been spent pursuing other opportunities.

But despite how painful this has been, we are not giving up.

JAWS, Paws and Claws now supports more than 250 active clients across Suffolk and Essex, and we are proud to have received over 130 five-star reviews from families who trust us with their beloved pets.

Demand for our services has never been higher.

Our popularity and first-class services are now in such demand that our current facilities can no longer support the number of dogs and families who need us. We are reaching capacity, and the need to grow is urgent.

We still need to secure an additional site and premises so we can continue supporting our loyal clients, welcome more dogs safely, and maintain the high standards of care our reputation has been built on.

That is why we are now reaching out publicly.

We are appealing to local landowners, property owners, businesses, community partners and anyone who may know of a suitable opportunity.

If you have, or know of, suitable land, buildings, outdoor space, rural or semi-rural premises, a former leisure or community site, or a location with existing visitor footfall, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for an additional site and premises where we can continue to grow responsibly, support local dog owners, create something positive for the community, and deliver the same level of professional, trusted care that our clients know and value.

This setback has hurt us deeply, but it has not changed our commitment.

Our clients need us.
Their dogs need us.
And we still believe there is an opportunity out there where this vision can become a reality.

To everyone who has supported us so far — thank you.

To everyone who has trusted us with their dogs — thank you.

To anyone who can introduce us to a landowner, suggest a possible site, share this message, or simply help spread the word — thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Please help us find the right additional site and premises so we can continue supporting the dogs and families who rely on us.

With gratitude,
