SATURDAY’S MATCH

After a first round bye and narrowly overcoming Dunbar United and Knightswood in the previous two rounds, Haddington Athletic welcome Glasgow United to Millfield on Saturday for a South Challenge Cup tie.

The visitors reached this stage after an excellent 2-1 away win against Drumchapel United – Drumchapel currently play three tiers above them in
the West of Scotland League.

Given our own challenging recent cup experiences against Kilsyth Athletic and Knightswood, we know very well indeed we will face a stern test if we are to
progress to the last 16 in the competition. It augurs well for an intriguing tie.

Just letting everyone know that our former employee Margaret Johnston sadly passed away last week, as a mark of respect we will remain closed on Wednesday 12th November.
Funeral will be at seafield crematorium
at 11.00am for anyone wishing to attend.
