Our new hedgehog habitat is up and running! Our orphaned hoglets will be making good use of this new area before venturing out into the big wide world. If you’d like to help our hedgehogs please think about donating something from our wish list or donating meat based kitten food. Even volunteer your time with your DIY skills, get in touch.

This little Sparrow hawk was brought into JWH after some days of hanging around a bird aviary, hungry and weak. “Victor” the sparrow-hawk has a parasitic protozoan known as Canker in his mouth and throat that will take lots of care, time and medication to treat. Good thing is he is eating for himself after a few days of hand feeding. Pls keep everything crossed for this fascinating bird 🤞.

Egbert has opened his eyes!!! He’s now 5 days old and growing fast. We’re feeding him a specialist food to give him the best start in life. Please donate to help Egbert and his friends to Joanna Wildlife. Every life matters!

This tiny little man came into us today, lucky to be found but all in his own. Mice mums do such a great job of feeding and caring for their little ones so now we will have take over and feed him around the clock.
Do share our Joanna Wildlife posts so others can learn more about the rescue work we do. Remember, even little donations, like him, can help all our little and large patients 🐭!

This little baby goldfinch came to The Joanna Wildlife Hospital after being caught by a cat. Luckily he didn’t have a scratch on him which is really rare as most come in with cuts, scrapes, punctures and breaks. These need to be treated straightaway due to the large amounts of bacteria in a dog’s/cat’s mouth. With the ever increasing amounts of small birds coming into JWH we’re looking for someone to sponsor a small bird cage on offer till tomorrow!
