We don't just help poorly animals at the hospital , there's a lot of grounds and equipment maintenance going on in the background too!
Our chief volunteer engineer, John, has managed to rehabilitate our lovely old ride on lawnmower.
Thanks to John, our volunteers and the amazing community around us we can keep doing what we're doing so big thanks to you all

Meet one of our newest patients, Copernicus Hoglet. Brought in after mum hedgehog did not return for him, he was dehydrated and cold. Hoglets relay on care from their mothers for the first 5-6 weeks of life to survive so he should not have been on his own. Now with a full tum and a warm bed, let’s keep everything crossed for him.

Looking more like a pigeon than the little fluffy squab today. He’s learning to jump and perch, what a clever pigeon.

This little orphaned robin fledgling is feeling a lot better after his incubator spa treatment. Once he can fly and fend for himself he will go back out into the wild.
We get many calls about fledglings at this time of year. They may look helpless but if there are parents looking after them and there are no predators then they are best left to do their job. Robins usually feed every 30-60mins but can sometimes be gone for a couple of hours so observe from afar before calling your local wildlife centre.

Betty is a baby hare / leveret.
We had a call out for a baby rabbit that had been caught by someone’s cat. This little one turned out to be a leveret! She is being treated for a cat bite to the neck but is recovering well. These little things are notoriously difficult to rear so keep everything crossed for little Betty.

Anyone with a vacuum they no longer need? Needs to be fairly new for the hospital. Our avian unit is pretty full with the dust and feathers free flowing 😆
