There’s something quietly powerful about working with simple point combinations that create a big shift in the horse’s body… Bladder 60 & Kidney 3 is one of those pairings I come back to again and again.

☯️ When you use these two points together, you’re essentially creating a conversation between the top and the bottom of the body… between movement and foundation… between release and support.

💙Bladder 60 (Bl60)
Known as the “aspirin point” for its powerful pain-relieving properties, and also the Command Point for the back, this point sits just behind the hock. It’s brilliant for:

⭐Supporting pain relief and discomfort
⭐Releasing tension through the spine
⭐Supporting the back and hindquarters
⭐Encouraging the free flow of chi through the Bladder meridian

💙Kidney 3 (K3)
Located opposite Bl60, this is a deeply nourishing point and is also the source point for the kidney. It helps to:

⭐Support the Kidney energy (the horse’s foundation and reserves)
⭐Strengthen weakness or fatigue
⭐Bring stability and grounding

☯️Why use them together?
BL60 helps to move and release (and ease pain), while K3 helps to tonify and support.

So rather than just loosening the body, or only building energy, you’re doing both at the same time — creating balance.

This combination is especially lovely for:

🐴 Horses experiencing general aches and discomfort
🐴Tight or sore backs
🐴Weak or fatigued hindquarters
🐴Older horses needing support
🐴 After bodywork to help integrate the session

🐴 Try working both sides gently, using soft, consistent pressure. Stay present, feel for changes, and let the horse guide you — you’ll often notice a softening, a breath, or a shift in posture as the body begins to rebalance.
