Balance is Key

The objective of Obsidian BLCK is to build the grail protection dog. Beautiful in the sport behaviours, balanced in the head and a real protection dog in life.

There’s no faucet more important than another here. We are looking for balance across all aspects which is why naturally it’s a long process.

Drogo has been in the system for over 12 months now and we are just scratching the surface of stuff we need to do.

This puts some people off and fires other people up. The thought of such a long and diverse process excites one and demoralises the other.

So after 6 months in our care, Loki went home today! 6 months is a long time to leave your dog to be looked after by someone else, it’s a nice feeling to be so well trusted with this lad, knowing how much he means to his owners. But unfortunately, when the army tells you to be somewhere, you go, so Loki has had a great time with us these past 6months, but I’m sure he will be much happier to be home and no longer having to share his toys and attention with other dogs! He’s learned a lot while he’s been here, he’s better with dogs than he has been before, he’s more confident in how to interact with other dogs, whether that just be leaving them alone or having a play with the dogs he knows! Something that has taken him a long time to come around to! His recall is banging! Emergency recall is flawless. And now he gets to go home and Mel is going to get into dock diving with him! Which I think he will thoroughly enjoy!

The teenage months seems to be where things fall apart when it comes to raising well mannered pets!

In this Troublesome Teens package, you will get 2 sessions per month up until your dog is 18months old, this includes unlimited online assistance with anything you’re having trouble with between sessions! These packages have a lot of flexibility, so if you’d like more than what’s offered, we can sort something out that is right for you!

So Loki has been here with us now for 6months! He arrived here just after the new year, and tomorrow he goes home to his owners! They’ve been away on deployment with our forces over seas and so we’ve been entrusted to their gorgeous boy while they’ve been away! He has been an absolute diamond to have around these past 6months! So now Loki is heading home, I’m available for more pet sitting duties! So drop us a message to get booked in!

Currently, I am covering the south Lincs area Mondays-Wednesdays and in the Grimsby area Thursdays-Fridays and have availability some Saturdays. All dogs that haven’t previously trained with me must have an assessment as their first session.
