A drug user who has been addicted to class A drugs for 30 years was caught by police having been seen by police passing on drugs to an addict.

A council flat tenant in Gorleston has been living with a puddle in his living room after a water leak continues to impact his home life.

This is from a Council that has consistently failed to maintain its own properties but now intends to pay someone £44k to hound private landlords. Who thought Selective Licensing was meant to do that. GYBC is becoming increasingly anti landlord.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council's tenancy services team and Norfolk Police have secured a Full Closure Order at a flat in the town after serious anti-social behaviour, which included an assault and threats of violence.

Gt Yarmouth Borough Council housing rents increased to 7%.

Private rental prices paid by tenants in the UK rose by 3.8% in the 12 months to October 2022, up from 3.7% in the 12 months to September 2022.

At the full council meeting last night the Conservative Administration proposed their budget for the coming financial year. One of the proposals was to increase rent for council houses by 7%. Labour would not support this rise as with the cost of living continually rising it would be too much for residents. We proposed an alternative 3% rise which the Tories voted against with Cllr Daniel Candon saying “we could have put it up to 11%”

A shocking statement and total lack of empathy.

Labour councillors will continue to have the interests of the residents of the whole borough very much in the forefront when we are voting on all important decisions.
