Love this!
Mother/son, father/daughter, brother/sister… cats aren’t fussy!

They reach s*xual maturity from 4 months which is why neutering from this age is paramount.
As well as the obvious, it removes or reduces associated cancers (ovarian/uterine/breast/testicular), unnecessary stress and pain, complications and vet bills.
Spay is the term for the female operation. Castrate is the term for the male operation. Neuter is the general term for either s*x.
Indoor cats need neutering and chipping too! All too often we see and hear of someone’s cat going for a venture out a window or bolting out of a door unexpectedly.
The (on average) additional 5 mouths to get checked, feed, treat for fleas/worms, find homes for, or raise if a female has kittens could be prevented with one operation.
A lot of vets have systems that allow you to add credit to your account. Pay in £20 a month and 6 months later they can be booked in. Some charities and organisations even run neutering vouchers or discounted donation schemes.

Rescues will always neuter. They are the ones expected to pick up the pieces, and all too often seeing kittens having kittens 💔
