Love this!

Mother/son, father/daughter, brother/sister… cats aren’t fussy!

They reach s*xual maturity from 4 months which is why neutering from this age is paramount.

As well as the obvious, it removes or reduces associated cancers (ovarian/uterine/breast/testicular), unnecessary stress and pain, complications and vet bills.

Spay is the term for the female operation. Castrate is the term for the male operation. Neuter is the general term for either s*x.

Indoor cats need neutering and chipping too! All too often we see and hear of someone’s cat going for a venture out a window or bolting out of a door unexpectedly.

The (on average) additional 5 mouths to get checked, feed, treat for fleas/worms, find homes for, or raise if a female has kittens could be prevented with one operation.

A lot of vets have systems that allow you to add credit to your account. Pay in £20 a month and 6 months later they can be booked in. Some charities and organisations even run neutering vouchers or discounted donation schemes.

As mentioned before FREE KITTENS AREN’T FREE - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Y5CsqDWvE/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Rescues will always neuter. They are the ones expected to pick up the pieces, and all too often seeing kittens having kittens 💔

New boy Lazarus joined us this afternoon. Another unneutered, unmicrochipped stray, saved by the vets from PTS. He had a hole in his mouth that they managed to operate on, despite his heart murmur he survived the anaesthetic. He also has a limp that needs investigation, but he's a lovely older gentleman that deserves a chance. His treatment so far is £540, so if you are able to spare a £ or 2, we would really appreciate it 💚

Chopper is now ready to move on! He came in as a stray with a mangled tail, which had to be amputated. He's never been nasty but does hiss when unsure, followed by a head bump! He's a really sweet boy who just needs the right person to fill him with confidence and give loads of love. He is fiv negative, neutered and microchipped. We estimate him to be around 4 years old. He could live with another friendly, confident cat, or cat friendly dog.

If you would like to offer Chopper a home, please complete an enquiry form https://forms.gle/HtVo9pYXojVwwzzq7 💚

This pair are back up for adoption. They are brother and sister and ready for a home from the end of this week. Sadly the fact that their home has fallen through also means that we won't be able to help the next cat in line... There are so many out there who are homeless and in need of help. If you are ready to adopt now, happy for a home visit and can offer the pair a good responsible home then please complete our animal enquiry form. Please consider carefully before applying.

***EDIT- We have enough milk now thank you*****We had 2 young kittens brought to us last night which were found in the road. Unfortunately both are extremely unwell and one of the pair not expected to make it. We are doing our best as always but wondered if anyone may like to help with contributing with any Royal Canin babycat milk or Royal Canin babycat mousse. These items are needed in Hemsby. Any very small fleece baby blankets would also be appreciated as they are getting though around 10 a day due to upset tummies and constant leakage. If anyone would like to help please PM us for our Hemsby address.
