As many of our regulars know, Tina’s hubby Andy makes the clocks, coat hooks etc we have in the shop window from time to time. Today they will be having a stall at the Winterton dog show!

In addition to the 14 fun dog show classes, there will be a seperate fastest recall competition, with prizes for all thise placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
There will be 39 different stalls, of various varieties some catering just for Paws, some for trainee and junior Hoomans, some for adult Hoomans and some just plain daft entertaining all Hoomans be they trainee, junior or adult.
Military Vehicles will be on display that you can sit in, investigate and take a photo or two of and if the weather is kind 🤞, Steve has arranged for a fly pass - no not the Red Arrows, he's not that influential 🙄 - and in conjunction with that, there will be a 'Guess the Height' competition! There's so much more, it's impossible to list it all without getting writers cramp!
It really will be a day out that's full of fun, quite literally, for every family member including the Four-Legged Pawpals and to top it off, it's in support of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Grass seed warning ⚠️🌱

Do you know the dangers that grass seeds can cause? Their tiny arrowheads attach onto dogs - particularly breeds with longer fur. They can pe*****te their way into the skin, causing harmful injuries that could potentially require surgery.

Always check your dog's fur thoroughly after woodland walks or running through meadows. Monitor their behaviour by keeping an eye out for the warning signs of grass seeds - this could be head shaking, limping, coughing, sneezing, paw licking and lethargy.

If you spot a grass seed, gently remove it with your hands or tweezers - if its burrowed deeper (sometimes you may not even see it!), take your dog to the vet immediately.
