Martham Free Dog Park

MISSING BIN

It's come to my attention that the black bin at the park is currently missing. I have no idea what has happened to it. I am currently awaiting a response from GY Services in the hopes they have some idea. (It was on a chain that only they should've had the key to)

In the meantime I'll ask that you continue to pick up after your dogs and take your poo bags home. As opposed to leaving them on top of the lock box.

If you cannot pick up and take them home. I will have to close the park for the foreseeable.

If you would like to book the dog park for private use. Slots are available Sundays 9-3pm for a minimum donation of £5 per hour slot.

Access to all the toys / agility equipment will be provided. Along with a lock for the gate, but you are free to use your own.

All money raised goes towards general upkeep and park improvements.

DOG PARK UPDATE

The overgrowth has been cut down and the park is usable again!

A HUGE thank you to both Jack Sheales and Scott Watson for sorting this out. As ever, highly recommended.

Will be investing in a little manual push mower to live up there after this ordeal.

MARTHAM FREE DOG PARK UPDATE:

Private hire sessions will be available from August 22nd!
1 hour blocks.
Sunday only between 9am-3pm

£5 minimum donation required to secure a slot. (Via Paypal or Bank Transfer).

Feel free to bring your own chain and lock or there is one at the site to use.

All money raised from Private Hire sessions will be put towards the upkeep of the park and eventually a new. higher, fence.

MARTHAM DOG PARK

Kicking around the idea of having 6 private use sessions on a Sunday (9am - 3pm) with a £5 donation per use. For those who have skittish dogs, or unfriendly dog etc etc.

I'd invest in a chain and lock and a "Pre Bookings only Sunday 9-3" sign. To ensure that it could only be use by those who have booked.

All donations from the Sunday bookings would go towards upkeep and eventually a new, taller wooden fence.

BUT I need people's opinions. The park is currently free for all at all times (but donations are appreciated).
So I need to hear everyone who uses the parks thoughts both for and against before a final decision is made.

DOG PARK RULES:

-Use of the park is free and open to all the public. You use the park at your own risk. The park nor anyone else is responsible for injury or damages.

-Owners are legally responsible for the behaviour of their animals at all times.

-Dogs must be on the lead when entering and exiting the park. Please allow them time to adjust to the surroundings and other animals before letting them off lead.

-Dog mess must be cleared immediately and placed in the bin.

-Owners must remain inside the boundaries of the park with their dog at all times.

-Aggressive dogs must be removed straight away. No arguments.
Dogs must remain under control or be removed.

-ABSOLUTELY NO - Dogs in heat - Sick Dogs - Un-Vaccinated Dogs - Food - Glass - Aggressive Dogs - Puppies - ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. NO EXCEPTIONS.

- The park was set up and is operated by and for the community and as such donations are greatly appreciated. Anyone who donates £10 will be given the code to the lock box of toys at the park. All donations go towards park operations such as keeping the grass cut, paying for bin emptying, new toys.
