Sam, who helps Sally run the retirement livery, has been asked by a friend to reach out to fellow dog owners for a bit of help.

This friend works as a scientist in Oxford in the veterinary research and development field and is carrying out some market research on new cancer tests they’ve been developing.

Please, please take a few minutes to fill out the form via the link below. It only takes about 3 minutes and could really help improve cancer detection in dogs — and potentially cats in the future too!

Thank you!

Sam 🐶

Summer Fields!

Most of the horses were moved today into their summer grazing - and as you can see, they were very happy about their new grass! 🍀

🌟Meet the Team – Day 5 🌟
It’s me… Sam!

I’m usually the one behind the screen replying to your messages on social media and the website, and working alongside Sally to organise viewings and answer any questions you might have.

My degree is based around equine nutrition and spent many years working for SPILLERS before moving into the corporate veterinary world. Horses have always been a huge part of my life – I’ve ridden for as long as I can remember and have worked on racing, stud and commercial yards over the years.

I live on site at Glebe Farm with my husband and our four horses and ponies (mostly belonging to our children!), so I’m always around. If Sally is ever away, I help keep everything ticking over and make sure the horses are well looked after.

If you’ve messaged us before, we’ve probably already chatted!

🌟Meet the Team – Day 4 🌟Tim Richmond 🐴🛠️

Tim is our amazing farrier, and we’re so lucky to have him as part of our team. He is incredibly calm, patient, and kind with every horse he works with — which is especially important as many of our residents are older and find lifting their legs a real challenge.

Tim is usually at the farm once a week, so regular check-ups are easy to manage and our horses are always well cared for. His understanding and gentle approach make such a difference, and we truly couldn’t ask for better!

✨ Meet the Team – Day 3 ✨

Today we’re introducing Angie & Anthony, our brilliant husband-and-wife team who live right at the heart of Moor Farm with their young family 🏡🐴

Anthony works alongside Richard on the farm, turning his hand to just about everything; from mending fences and harrowing, to forklifting haylage bales into our concrete hay rings, plus all the general maintenance that keeps the farm running smoothly (on top of the usual harvest, ploughing, hedge cutting and hay making!).

Angie supports Sally by being the daily person who checks every horse, feeds any medication or special feeds, and keeps a watchful eye on everyone’s wellbeing. Her own horse, Shady, lives happily in the gelding herd 💙

Their children are also part of the Moor Farm team and can often be spotted helping out – especially when it comes to defrosting water troughs! ❄️👏

Both Angie and Anthony grew up with horses and bring a huge amount of knowledge and care to everything they do. With every window of their home overlooking either the geldings’ field and Dutch barn or the mares’ fields, there’s always someone nearby, giving us all that extra peace of mind.

Angie has lots of favourites (no surprises there!), while Anthony’s favourite is Red ❤️

We’re so lucky to have this amazing family as part of the Moor Farm team!

🌟 Meet the Team 🌟 Day 2

Today it’s Christine Price 💛

She’s very much our secret weapon and honestly one of the kindest people you could meet. Chris has an incredible eye and can spot a horse that’s even slightly off from a mile away.

She’s also never without a pocket of sweeties, so it’s no surprise the horses absolutely love her and are always happy to see her. We genuinely couldn’t do what we do without her, she’s a huge part of the team and truly amazing at what she does.

Chris has lots of favourites, but she has a real soft spot for Bally, mainly because he loves a good fuss (and she’s always happy to oblige!).

We’re very lucky to have her 🐴💛

🌟 Meet Our Team! 🌟

Every day this week, we’ll be introducing a member of our small but mighty team 💛

First up, it’s Sally!

Sally is our go-to person and the heart of our day-to-day running across both yards. If you have a question, she’s the one with the answer! With a lifetime of experience, Sally has been a PC instructor, a jockey, and has been around horses for as long as she can remember.

She’s known for her calm, caring nature and for always putting the horses first 🐴💫

Sally insists she doesn’t have a favourite… but we all know how much she loved GTO, who we sadly lost recently due to his age. He was a firm favourite with the whole team, and he will always hold a special place in our hearts 💙
