🐴🐴 SUNDAY FREELANCE GROOM WANTED🐴🐴

A lovely little Sunday job which doesn’t take up your whole day!

This is ideal for a horse enthusiast student, stay at home parent that can work weekends or just for someone needing extra cash and happens to love horses 🩶
Could also share it with someone if that works.

We are a lovely little private farm in Prestwood, Gt Missenden.
All retired horses and my own. It’s quiet and peaceful with lovely horses to care for.

⭐️AM shift is approx 2.5- 3 hrs in the mornings - starting 7:30am (or earlier if you prefer!)

⭐️ PM shift is approx 2-2.5 hrs in the afternoons - start time approx 4:30pm or later (in the winter months it’s usually around a 2:30/3pm start)

Feeding 3 groups of retired horses, changing rugs when required, checking for injury /illness, turning out x 2/ bringing in 2, re-making feeds. No mucking out required.

Equine experience required as need to be able to identify injury and illness.

Pass at 10mph and with a distance of 2 metres….
I also wish there were more bridleways for the equestrian community to safely access so we wouldn’t have to use the roads so much.

Scrambled Duck Eggs this morning 😋😋

What’s the difference in taste between chicken and duck eggs?

Duck eggs are creamer and denser…also much higher in protein so a great super food!

We sell our duck eggs….fresh free range Runner and Aylesbury Ducks 🦆🥚

🦆 LOCAL DUCK EGGS FOR SALE 🦆

(We also sell chicken eggs but these go quite quickly! 🐓 please ask if you would like some)
Along with retired horses we are also home to Indian Runner Ducks and Aylesbury Ducks and they lay lovely fresh eggs!

If anyone wants to buy any fresh duck eggs please contact me! 🥚🪺🥚🪺

First come first serve but they are delicious and super high in protein. Higher protein than chicken eggs.

Duck eggs are fantastic for baking as well as fried, boiled or scrambled….however you like your eggs!

Note- we do not wash our eggs. Ducks are very messy 🤦🏼‍♀️ and runner ducks just lay anywhere so they do come unwashed, this is also to protect them as they are coated in a protective coating from the duck so if you wash them it removes this protective layer.

To store out of the fridge - these need to stay unwashed and stored out of sunlight for up to 3 weeks. Best eaten within 2 weeks. Their protective coating ensures their longevity.

If you prefer to wash them you must refrigerate and ideally consume within 3 weeks. They can also be stored in the fridge unwashed.
We also recommend to wash before boiling.
