With both major political parties wanting to boost tree planting for the environment and flood defences Howe Hill Farm intend to plant some 6000 trees over the next 2 years. Any excess trees we. Intend to sell onto like minded people for cost prices. If you are interested keep in touch

Our move to improve the environment with our ambitions of tree planting As the ground cover dies back at this time of year we can start to see this years planting showing through.

Some 6 years ago we were reviewing how to improve our green credentials. To do this we decided to go with biomass heating using tree thinking’s as the fuel.
To take this to the next level we started to plant 3 acres of copiced wood land this should give us upto20-30 tonnes of logs.
This project is now growing as we have grown all the trees from seed found in the valley. This is now absorbing carbon from the atmosphere and will be providing shelter for the horses as well as heating 3 houses and warm water in the yard for washing.
We will keep you all informed on the progress of the project
