It's been a week since our beautiful Roxy gained her angel wings and crossed over rainbow bridge 🌈🌈

I still haven't found the words to express how I feel but I know I am deeply missing her! She is the reason why my little/tiny fear of Rotties became none existent and how I grew my love for this breed. We were called to help her over 9 years ago, but in reality she's the one who helped me and for that I'll always be grateful for her coming into my life.

It was hard seeing her suddenly become very ill while with me on a walk and finding out that she had a cancer in her spleen. Thankfully her owner had a few extra weeks with her until last Monday when I recieved a call to come visit and help the owner get her to the vets. I will never forget this goodbye 😢😢 but being there for Roxy in the vets until the very end was so comforting. I'm so pleased I was there for her, even if I got a sore back and legs after sitting on the floor for over an hour to ensure she was stress free before hand. I can not thank the vets enough for the time they allowed for Roxy to be confortable and relaxed prior.

I want to thank her owner for trusting me and my team and for allowing me to be there for Roxy. She will always have a place in my heart.

Happy Thursday!

We are being spoilt with the weather this week, so I thought I'll put the annual status up regarding it and our safety measures.

Everyone knows that at Bright Skies, we value our furry family and will always put their welfare and wellbeing before anything else. I have always said they mean much more to me than money and I'd always prioritise them. I would never risk a life for a few quid! 😊😊

So, as a reminder to everyone and as always I will be sending out daily or weekly messages to everyone when it's not safe to walk.

We won't walk above 24 degrees for all healthy dogs. For those who struggle a bit more (frenchies, for example), this will be assessed as an individual basis. Normally, our cut-off for those who struggle is 20/21 degrees.

We have water with us at all times and will have our AC on in the car during all journeys.

For those who have them, we will start to request for you to leave out any cool jackets so that we can start putting them on.

I have got out the cool mats and will have them in the cars, too.

As we enter many into summer walks maybe cut shorter. But we will update everyone when needed etc 😊😊

As always, if you have any concerns, please message me or speak to the team when they do their pick ups.

Lastly, as always, there is never a last-minute cancellation charge when it's related to the weather. Not that I even implement this on a normal day 🤪

Everything you all already know, but as always, you all know I like to keep you updated 😊😊

Good evening, everyone

After a long, hard think, I have come to the decision that I will no longer be running classes at our Abbey Wood venue after 6 years of being at this venue.

With now working longer hours during the day, I simply need to get my evenings back and have the family time I so desperately need.

I will be doing one last 6 week course starting Thursday 24th April 2025 at 6.15pm and will cost £90. This course will cover almost everything you guys already know, but it would be great seeing you all perform it again for one last time in a class environment. It will also include some fun and games.

Please do let me know if you wish to join this last course in April!

I will still be continuing walks and one on one training, so I'm not going anywhere! I just want and need my evenings back.

Good Morning and happy Tuesday!

I need a few volunteers from my wonderful Bright Skies family!

After today I will be going ahead with offering full body massages as part of my on going training. This will include permission slip, vet referral and completing a questionnaire (I know I know all my dogs very well but this is part of my training process 🙈🙈). Ill then doing a gait assessment (watching your dog walk up and down) Then will do palpitations and then onto the massage. During the massage I will also use infrared light therapy which aids in healing and good muscle functioning.

This should be around an hour.

I haven't got a picture of all 5 of us together... so it's a must next time girls!

But I just wanted to do an appreciation post to my staff today. They know I'm very grateful for them and I try to always say thank you to them everyday and tell them and praise them when they do well. And this week, especially today, has just shown what a team we are and how quickly we work together to sort any issues that may occur.

I seriously can not thank them for a great team they are.

Not only am I lucky to have the furry family I do, I also have some fantastic aunties for them!

Well done this week team ❤️❤️❤️

Feeling like we need a meal out with some cocktails soon.

Just look at our Lottie go today !

We've been working with Lottie and her owner for a while now and she's a different dog. Some may remember some previous post.

When we first started Lottie was a very anxious and frustrated doggie with her triggers being, dogs, people, children, fast moving things and loud noises, including construction work.

Here she is today doing face to face work towards 2 other dogs and recalling back to owner, while a child is on the swings and construction work being done on a house very nearby!

(Ignore the lead getting a little tangled 🤣)

So very proud of this girls (and owners) journey ❤️
