n spring. beyond is ancient broad leaved woodland with towering veteran trees. At the heart stands our award-winning eco visitor centre. Park includes; play area, toddler play area, 8 way marked trails including easy access and horse/ mountain bike route, trim trail, café, eco pizza kitchen, dog pond, tramper hire, seasonal activities and events, medieval manor, sculptures and more.. We also offer opportunities for venue hire, children's parties, team building as well as ranger led educational school visits, including a dedicated school area with outdoor shelter. More information can be found by visiting our website. Wood products including logs (September through to March) can be purchased from our visitor centre. Pay and Display parking (£2.30 weekdays and £3.30 weekends and bank holidays). Coach parking by prior arrangement (£7.00). Motorbikes (free). Parking season tickets are available online or call 03000 413500 Blue badge holders must register via the KCC contact centre (03000 413500) to receive their free annual season ticket (Note; the Contact Centre charges a £8 admin fee for this service)

All money from parking goes straight back into Kent Country Parks helping us look after the parks for people and wildlife.

🎃 Looking for spooky fun this October? 🎃

We’ve got fang-tastic events lined up. From potions and creepy crawlies to autumn adventures, there’s something for everyone!

👻 Autumn Trail, 11 Oct – 2 Nov, 10am–3pm

Pick up a trail sheet from the visitor centre and follow our self-led Autumn Trail. Spot all the hidden treasures of nature, answer the questions, and collect your prize! Tickets £3 per child

👻 Spooky Potions, 18 & 19 Oct, multiple time slots

Mix up your very own Halloween magic! Create potions, clay spiders, cobwebs and more. Perfect for witches, wizards and curious explorers. Tickets £8.50 per child, adults go free!

👻 The Wiggly Wild Show, 26 Oct

Get up close with some amazing creatures! Meet a cornsnake, bearded dragon, giant millipede, giant stick insects, tailless whip scorpion and lots more. A hands-on wild adventure you won’t forget. Tickets £2 per adult, £10 per child

This week the were helping the rangers with some rhododendron control. We cut/pulled large areas near the knoll and piled it up. We will burn it at a later date when it isn't as dry. Rhododendron is an invasive plant brought over by the Victorians. It shades out everything that grows beneath it and as the leaves drop and decompose, they lead to the soil becoming very acidic. Due to this, we limit the spread and remove it where we can.
