This week the volunteers were helping to take down some old fencing and removing some viburnum that had spread along the fence line and surrounding areas. They worked so efficiently that they were also able to dig in the straining posts for the fence!

Wood Anemones are one of the first woodland flowers to bloom. Wide spread carpets of them can indicate ancient woodland as they are slow to spread via their rhizome roots

Important Update: Car park Charges from 1st April

From 1st April, our parking charges will be increasing. All money raised through the car park charges go towards the upkeep of our Country Parks; maintaining facilities, improving biodiversity and helping more Kent residents access and enjoy the outdoors. Thank you for continuing to support your local country park.

Thames Crossing project, who helped
complete biodiversity enhancement planting.
This important work provides connecting
corridors across the whole site to provide
shelter for small mammals, food for pollinators and to increase the resilience of
