Unfortunately you have all been keeping me far too busy (thank you so much!) and I am stretched to the absolute limit at the moment so I am temporarily closing my books to new clients. Hoping to be able to reopen them next month but my priority is to make sure I am providing the best care I can to all my current patients without completely turning myself inside out!

For those wanting appointments before the end of 2025 please do get in touch as soon as you can so that I can get you booked in.

There are no words for how grateful I am to you all for all of your support. Back to replying to the many many emails and messages, hoping to be caught up with everyone by the end of the week, but feel free to poke me if you are waiting for a reply still!🤞

PS Rosie is mad that I’m not leaving enough time to adore her, I did buy her some new trainers though!

Has anyone got a pony who would fancy a mini break to mine for a couple of weeks until we sort something else out?

We unfortunately lost a mare over the weekend so down to two 💔 meaning Doris and I are stranded as Fletcher isn’t a fan of being left alone! Got some more long term plans being actioned, but we would ideally would like something asap!

What an incredible day at the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP) conference. I was so busy taking in the huge wealth of information presented by some incredible speakers, I forgot to take any photos of people but here is a small selection of many photographed slides to share with you all!
Amazing to see some old friends and share ideas!💡 Now time for some sleep!💤

Fantastic to learn about some of the electrotherapy devices available from Therapévo this evening and catch up with some local therapists 📝🧐🔦 we might have something new coming soon… watch this space! 👀

Wow – we’ve had such a fab evening of CPD!
A huge thank you to Therapévo for a fabulous talk and to The Grange Cafe for providing such a lovely space (and very nice cakes too 🍰).

It was brilliant to network with so many amazing local therapists – always so inspiring to connect, share ideas, and learn from each other.

📚 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) is such an important part of what we do. It helps us stay up to date, grow our knowledge, and ensure we’re always offering the very best support to the dogs and owners we work with.

Feeling grateful for a great evening of learning and connection! 💚 (ps I’m catching up with messages now sorry)

What a brilliant surprise when my last client of the day arrived this evening, having brought his younger brother Dave along too! He was super well behaved and did a danatistic imitation of a rug whilst Arthur did his workout in the treadmill! 🥰

Iyla is learning to walk again with the help of regular physiotherapy treatment alongside treatment from her vet. Her favourite part of a physio session is the underwater treadmill - makes her feel as light as a feather so she can use her legs properly without having to carry all of her weight. She also gets to wear groovy leg-warmers/scrunchies which help encourage her to pick up her back legs!😎

This one is important!

‘Listen to their whisper so they don’t have to shout’👂🙉

A couple of weeks ago Doris and I (A very amateur wannabe Eventer) had a relatively disasterous trip out to Norton Disney - I was struggling with balancing our canter in the dressage and had 3 stops and a pole showjumping. Our entire round was very stuffy, and whilst my riding definitely left much room for improvement, my wonderful pony who usually will help me out of a sticky spot, just didn’t want to go.

Fortunately, I already had a saddle fitting booked for later that week, due to suspicions that it might need some adjustments making. Andy from from S Milner and Son was a great help (as always!), confirming my thoughts, and making the changes needed to accommodate for Doris’ ‘summer body’.😳🤪

I want to stress that this appointment was not at all overdue! The saddle had been fitted 3 months previously at which point it fitted beautifully.

I’m pleased to say that since these changes (and a full treatment from me), Doris has been feeling amazing this week, and was back on top form today at a local showjumping competition. She flew round both rounds much more enthusiastically, going clear and we took home 🥈 and 🥉- a very big achievement for me!

I wanted to share this with everyone, as it just goes to show how important it is to notice the little changes in behaviour and to have a good team of equine professionals around you (dentist, farrier, physio, saddle fitter, vet etc!). Keep up to date with your appointments and discuss with them any changes in behaviour, movement and performance. They may well be able to help you and your horse to feel and perform at their best! 🌟

We are so fortunate to be able to call these wonderful creatures our teammates, and we owe it to them to listen well and to do our best to make sure they’re as comfortable as they can be in every aspect. When they give us their all in return, it is so worth it in every way!🥰

Anyway, I’m ready for a drink and a bbq after a very successful day. Happy Sunday All! 🥂
