Happy Caturday, and what a scorcher it is ☀️
The PDSA has created this info graphic with tips on helping your pussycats stay safe in the sun and during heatwaves.
Here's a couple of my own:
💧mix a drop or two of water into your cats wetfood at mealtimes to help keep them hydrated, especially if you've noticed they're not visiting their water bowl/fountain very often.
⚠️ Avoid offering a gel filled pet cooling mat to sleep/rest on - these are easily damaged by cat claws, and the gel content may be harmful if licked or ingested. Instead you could opt for a foam filled one, or go handmade - prepare a damp towel, folded (placed on top of rubber mat or something to protect your carpet)
✅️ lickilix cat yoghurt sachets can be kept in the fridge for a quick refreshing and hydrating treat.
