I have seen so many posts recently with guinea pigs being introduced on 'neutral territory' or 'side by side' living
THIS IS NOT HOW YOU BOND THEM 🤦‍♀️
It will cause frustration/tension/bar biting (which can easily result in broken teeth) Guinea pigs are very physical and vocal animals when it comes to meeting others of their kind. They need to interact with each other straight away.

The best way is to have a clean fresh accommodation where their permanent living space will be. PILES of hay, so much that they can be completely submerged inside it, scatter some tasty veggies (not in a bowl) remove hides where they have only 1 exit. I favour the wooden bridges from pets at home XL ones 🙂
NOW be ready for squeeeking, rumbling, chasing, mounting, chuffing, pecking (not biting) dragging bottoms along the floor (yes that's you boys 🙄) these are all very normal behaviours and often people are quite alarmed at the process and grab one out of the way = more tension/stress and possibly harder to re-introduce 😏
I always say to new owners if you are ever concerned of any type of behaviour do a video and send it. As most of you are aware im always here for advice and support ❤️ ❤️

Sorry ive been quiet but im still here 🙋‍♀️
We've had the pleasure of the lovely Button returning for a groom, he was such a good boy having me come at him from all angles with brushes and scissors. I think you will all agree he does make the cutest Bunnicorn, even with a grumpy face 🙈
We have new additions Mint & Gravy 🤦‍♀️
They are useless at keeping the grass down and think the dogs bed is a trampoline 🤣
We have sadly lost a few old ladies during the winter 😢 leaving our OAP herd now at only 5 piggies. Some had gone on to keep other elderly sows company and we thank their new owners for overlooking their age 🤗
Recently, a mumma pig and her 2 babies didn't make it. Mum had suffered pregnancy toxemia, despite me and my daughter continously doing all we could, with rehydration/heat pads/syringe feeding/syringing goat milk etc all 3 didnt make it 😔.
I am immensely proud of my 9 Yr old daughter, who accepted that the most important thing is that we tried our absolute best and made sure they individually had cuddles until the end, whilst gently reassuring them that it was ok 💞

Bramble came to us a few weeks ago, and it was very apparent her hormones were making her a grumpy bun.
She was spayed yesterday, took her meds without having to be held today, and has done lots of poops which I was very pleased about 😁
She'll be on cage rest for a while and her wound checked daily.

(Rehomed) This is Hugo he's a slightly older gentleman who I might struggle to find a family for, due to his age. Girls are always so much easier as they just fit into herds or groups. Hugo can be paired with a younger boar but his new family must be willing to accept he's no spring chicken at 4 years old but he does have some years left ahead of him.
He's happy to be cuddled, to be around children and pets, as long as they are well behaved like him 🥰
