URGENT - Home Alone Frankie - Cheshire East

This gentile gentleman Vizsla will be 10 years old on the 3rd May. Due to the hospitalisation of his owners, Frankie urgently needs a long-term adult-only foster home where he can be the only Dog by Friday 1st May 2026

Frankie really is a lovable character. He is highly sociable, enjoys meeting people and attention, going for walks, playing fetch, having a run around in a secure field and a splash in the River. Health-wise, Frankie does have a Tumour that we anticipate may not be treatable, but otherwise, Frankie is in fine fettle and the costs of his future Veterinary treatment will be met by Vizsla Rescue.

Frankie is already receiving treatment from Goostrey Lane Vets, Holmes Chapel, CW4 whilst not essential it would be advantageous if the Foster Home could be located in the area in order that Frankie can continue to be treated by them.

All applications and enquiries need to be made by email to [email protected]

Please be assured that whilst Frankie is home alone, he is being tended to every 4 hours.

UPDATE - REHOMED TOGETHER! Whippet Rescue UK "The Glasgow Ladies" available for Adoption.

Aged 4 and 11 years old, Bonnie & Stella are two affectionate little Whippets. Bereft of their owner last December, the ladies have been in a Foster Home north of Glasgow where they have proved themselves to be perfect house guests. They travel well in the car, walk well on the lead, save for a high prey drive, there is nothing negative to report.

Even with our offer to cover the future costs of Stella's Veterinary treatment, we are struggling to find the Ladies a home. We remain hopeful that our search for a home where Bonnie and Stella can remain together hasn't come to an end; if we need to separate a pair of Whippets, then this will be the first time in 10 years!

Ideally, the ladies would be best placed in a home with another Whippet of similar age to Bonnie. We always try to source homes within a reasonable distance of where Dogs are fostered, but as no applications have been forthcoming from Scotland or the Counties in England that border it, providing that applicants are prepared to travel and make a series of visits, we will consider applications from other parts of England and Wales.

All enquiries and applications should be made by email to the address below. Please ensure that you include your full name/s, address and telephone number in order that we can contact you.

UPDATE - application in progress!

URGENT - Whippet Rescue UK "Blueboy" - Applications restricted to Cheshire East/West and adjoining Counties in the first instance.

Due to hospitalisation of his owner, we are seeking an urgent foster/adopt home for this 2 year old small gentleman Whippet that we need to have in place by Sunday 22nd February 2025.

We assessed Blueboy today (18th February 2026); he is in good health, whilst excitable, he is a sweet natured little dog who integrated well with other Dogs who we introduced him to and walked well on the lead.

Weighing approximately 12 KG, fully vaccinated but yet to be neutered, he would be suitable for homes with retired/work from home couples in a pet and child free home.

Further information about Blueboy and applications should be made by email only to the address below. Please ensure that you include your contact details in order that we can telephone you.

UPDATE - REHOMED - URGENT - Whippet Rescue UK "BIll" - Goostrey Cheshire - Applications restricted to Cheshire/Staffordshire/South Manchester - 30 miles of Goostrey

8 year old Whippet Rescue UK Bill is in urgent need of a longterm Foster to Adopt home. 8 year old Bill and 16 year old Sasha came into our care last August, bereft of their gentleman owner, they were given a clean bill of health.

Sadly, just before Christmas, Sasha, became ill and suffered kidney failure. Within a few weeks of losing Sasha his longterm lady whippet partner, Bill became ill.

Last week Bill, was diagnosed with SRMA Meningitis and Bill's current Foster Carer advised that they were no longer able to meet Bill's needs, hence we need to find a new home for Bill.

Bill is due at our Vets later today for further tests that we anticipate will include a referral to a Neurologist, located in Cheshire and Liverpool.

We will provide an update later today, in the meantime, all applications for Bill should be made by email to the address below and any donations that can help meet Bill's veterinary costs can be made by paypal or through our Bank Account, details of which can be obtained by email.

Whippet Rescue UK "Edo" - Cheshire. Applications (in the first instance) restricted to homeworkers/retired couples or singletons in North West England.

Endearing Edo is a 15 month old diminutive gentleman whippet weighing 11 kg. Edo, is in good health, has an exuberant character and is well socialised with both Humans and Dogs. Whilst Edo is used to living as an only Dog he may be accepting of and benefit from a Whippet companion of similar age, size and disposition.

With regard to our Re-homing criteria; Edo Whippets are a rare commodity and they are a privilege to love, honour and obey; our assessment of Edo concluded that he was without question an "undertheduvet" Whippet. Of upmost importance expected from all applicants is their ability to commit themselves to a lifetime of utter devotion, the provision of a home that includes an open fire or log burner (electric/gas lookalikes considered) together with a secure outdoor space.

All enquiries and applications should be made by email to the address below and include your full name/s, address, telephone number. [email protected]

UPDATE: APPLICATION IN PROGRESS
Whippet Rescue UK "Random Rosie"

New home, new start in time for the New Year???

Now available for Adoption, 6 month old Random Rosie arrived into our care on the 17th December 2025. At such a tender age and to our horror and utter despair, we discovered that Rosie had already had several home failures that we suspect were due to lack of exercise/stimulation.

Rosie is a Lurcher probably Belgian Shepherd x Greyhound with a tad of Whippet!

Whilst Rosie passed our assessment and a health check at our Vets, due to the uncertainty with her past we had to place Rosie into Kennels rather than a Foster Home.

Over the course of the past 12 days whilst at the Kennels, Rosie hasn't shown any adverse reaction to other Dogs or any of the Staff. The Kennels describe Rosie as an adorable, affectionate puppy who just wants love and attention. That was also our experience of Rosie during the 3 hours that we spent with her in which she never put a paw wrong. Whilst prone to bouts of intermittent trembling during her journey to the kennels, Rosie, was responsive to our reassurance. Doubtless, Rosie's nervousness was attributable to her uncertainty/fear of travelling to yet another home.

What Rosie needs now is a permanent home with Adopters who benefit from the experience of Lurchers. We, and the Kennels believe that Rosie would benefit from a calm Sighthound Companion who can help with her socialisation, possibly a Greyhound, given that we predict that Rosie will mature around 23/24 tts. Without doubt, Rosie is going to require an active home with adults who can dedicate themselves to providing Rosie with the training and exercise/stimulation that she has previously been deprived of through no fault of her own.

All applications and requests for further information about Rosie need to be made by email. Please ensure that you include your full name/s, address and telephone number in the email together with a brief outline of your home/work life balance etc. In the first instance, we will be restricting applications to those who reside in Counties surrounding Cheshire and Shropshire in order that applicants can make a series of visits to Rosie.
