Working dogs with body language π₯°
Why?
My daily work load becomes busy and I never know what's happening next, working out side in Nature I can come across wildlife.
I want my dogs to remain calm and work with me around Deer, foxes and birds.
I've heard so many cases where the dogs been off lead a deer has come by, the owner goes into pannick, screams, shouts the dogs name which startles the Deer and then before you know It, the dogs gone and in some case the Deer is injured π«£π
Keep dogs on leads if they are unpredictable around Nature.
I train mine this way as I can't always have them on leads around live stock.
This body language, the rise of voice and body language tells the dog he's doing good even though they aren't, purely because the owners energy level has gone up and in fight mode, the dog then copies with Deer.
Also Horses and Cows, so many dangerous situations arise working with animals, I need to be able to communicate with my dogs from a few paddocks away.
Bringing in hand & arm movements allow the dog to have contact with me, body contact πͺ this creates safety, trust and a great work team.
Having dogs with different characters and work ethics can be challenging so using my body language allows the dogs to concentrate at their level.
I also keep one dog sitting and move another dog by my body language β€οΈ
My Jack Russel is retired π₯°π I wish I had never said that word he does as he pleases with in safety he is 16 years and 4 months π₯° his bandage is to protect his paws as he has no pads to protect his feet.
