Good news at Hind’s Hounds! I am investing in keeping your dogs even safer with gps trackers (so if you notice an extra accessory on your dog in their pictures, this is what it is! ) You can see Bobby and Loulou modelling them 🥰.

A dog walker’s worst nightmare is losing a dog, and this can happen even when they have fantastic recall. They can be distracted by a scent, chasing deer, birds, squirrels etc or scared by something such as a loud bang, which can result in them running away, and sometimes being unable to find their way back to the pack.

If you’ve ever lost a dog, even for a few minutes, you’ll understand that this is extremely frightening with lots of worst case scenarios running through your mind.

Thankfully this has only happened to me a handful of times in all the years that I’ve been walking, but I’ve decided in order to minimise risks in relation to this, gps trackers will be worn by the dogs during their walks with me. The trackers are fairly expensive so I currently only have 4, but I will be purchasing more over the next coming weeks. I’ll access each walk who will wear a tracker, until I can buy more.
