Well that's it for us folks! The end of another busy year. It wouldn't be possible without you and your furbabies so a big thank you to you all!
If we haven't been in contact with you yet to make next year's appointments, don't panic, we will be in touch over the Christmas/New Year period.
Also, thank you to everyone who has given us gifts and cards. They are all very much appreciated.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and see you all on the other side in 2025!🎄🎅 🥂

Good evening peeps! What a miserable few days we've had!⛈⛈Now summer has disappeared (I don't think we actually had one), we have decided to start sending appointment reminders to all of you lovely people.
Throughout the summer months, which is our busiest time of year, we've had quite a few appointments that have been missed or appointments that people have arrived late for( more than our 15 minute deadline). We have to refuse to take your dog in as this can run into the next dog's appointment time, put pressure on us and not give your dog our full attention which we're not prepared to do and we would be there all night! We then cannot offer you another appointment soon after because these appointments have already been booked.
So, our appointment reminders will be sent manually as we are not set up for automated reminders(so please bear with us). Your reminder will be sent out on the Sunday before your dog's appointment that upcoming week. This will be via text message to your mobile number we hold for contacting you. If you have a different contact number you'd like us to have or send these reminders out to you on, please get in contact with us. Or if you'd prefer not to receive a reminder, please let us know. We hope this will be of help to some people.

Good morning everyone! Hopefully it will be a little cooler for our pooches today 🥵 it's been a bit sweltering lately! Anyway, it's hit August already😱and a few of you have been enquiring about booking your appointments for next year!! Wow we say! But we've trained you well because that's how we like your appointments to be made-well in advance and organised for both you, us and your pooches, which is the main thing, so it keeps their coats well maintained and makes them feel in the best possible way. However, we haven't got 2025 diaries open as of yet (shame on us 😞), but as soon as we do, we will be in contact with everyone so please don't fret.
Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, but please stay safe in this heat.

7 simple steps to keep your pet safe as the temperature rises...
• Make sure pets always have plenty of fresh water to drink
• Provide adequate ventilation at all times
• Avoid exercising dogs in the heat of the day: especially older pets, brachycephalic breeds or dogs that you know have heart or lung problems
• Provide shade from the sun in the hottest part of the day
• Watch out for early signs of heatstroke, such as heavy panting, restlessness and lack of coordination
• Never leave dogs in vehicles: "Not long" is too long
• Contact a vet immediately if your animal does not respond to efforts to cool it down.

Well 2023 has come to an end in our grooming world! Thank you everyone for all your kind gifts and thoughts this Christmas. It's been a busy one for Santa Paws! 🎅🐾 We are forever grateful for all your continued support and we appreciate every single one of you and your special furbabies.
Also please don't worry if we haven't contacted you yet for next year's appointments. We haven't forgotten you! We will be in touch soon.
We will be re-opening on Monday 8th January so will be contactable from then onwards.
