/ drug search & protection work. I have about 10 years of experience working with animals professionally, including areas such as; veterinary surgeries, pet shops, grooming salons, security handling, livestock & zoo environments! I also have a rich animal based education including; a distinction in animal management from BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) in which i specialized in canine genetics & behavior (2019), in person & online pet first aid certificates (2022 & 2023), a level 2 certificate of technical competence in dog walking (2023), Pet sitting & dog walking diploma (2023) and multiple other online certificates - all of which can be shown upon request. As well as my professional & educational animal experience i also have a wide range of personal experience based on all the animals i own / have owned in the past - this includes; a small colony of Madagascan hissing cockroaches, Giant Asian green mantises, Indian flower mantis, Royal python, hamsters, rats, fish and of course dogs!

Answering your questions from my story!

Question 1: How do you plan your day?
Answer: I have a physical & digital diary both of which have my regular & adhoc walks / services written in! My regular services are at the same time each week & I fit my adhoc services where I can upon request. I like to leave a good amount of time between each service to ensure I have enough time for delays just in case!

Question 2: Have you ever had to use your pet first aid skills?
Answer: Yes! I’ve had a few minor cuts & scrapes I’ve had to clean / cover but I’ve been very lucky that I’ve never had a serious incident - part of which is due to the training I’ve received to prevent accidents in the first place!

Question 3: What would you say to someone looking for a dog walker?
Answer: Shop around! There’s so many pet service providers & we all offer a host of different things - we all also have our own methods & morals so I would 100% recommend contacting a few. And make sure to ask lots of questions! The right dog walker will always be happy to answer any questions you have about their business 😁

Question 4: How did you get into dog walking?
Answer: I’ve always had a passion for animals & have been working with them / studying them since the second I was old enough! I started work at a security dog kennel where I adopted Arlo, this then inspired me to create my own business working with animals where I can set my standards & morals as high as I want to! I’ve always been a hard worker so being the best dog walker I could possibly be was always the plan 🐾

What’s in my dog walking bag? 👀

You’ve all seen me walking with this bag around my waist & you’ve probably seen it in my posts - but what’s actually in it?

We have…
• Business cards (For any of you we spot out & about!)
• Smelly treats (I feel this one is obvious 😋 )
• NFC tag (This sends a link on your phone directly to our page!)
• Poo bag holder (Again, probably obvious 😂)
• Temporary first aid kit (this carries the essentials until we can use our larger one in the van!)
• Dog walking info tags (Any dog that walks with us has these to insure we can quickly locate them if they were to disappear on a walk)
• Tennis ball holder (For all those used tennis balls 🎾 )
• Pet remedy (To top up any anxious pets or for any training sessions )
• Compostable poo bags (the best poo bags around! )
• Hand sanitizer (Gotta look after our hands!)
• Pet corrector (For any dangerous wildlife or dogs - this is NEVER used for training or on any pets we look after! We’ve also not had to use it in almost 3 years)

We’ve been lucky during our time to work with such a wide variety of breeds, sizes and personalities within our groups - working hard to pair everyone perfectly to ensure everyone has the best possible time 🫶🏼

If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for their paws!

Pavement temps can almost double what the air temperature is on a sunny day - enough to burn paws in seconds. 😢

Dogs can also overheat quickly, especially breeds with short snouts or thick coats. Heatstroke can happen FAST and is often fatal.

💡 Tips to keep your dog safe:
✅ If they really can't avoid a walk, walk them early in the morning or after sunset
✅ Stick to grass and shady routes
✅ Always carry water
✅ Check the pavement with your hand for 5 seconds, if it's too hot for you then it's too hot for them.

Let's help our dogs enioy a safe summer ☀️

Let’s talk chews!

You see them everywhere! In pet shops, stalls, toy baskets and even your own home - but what are they and why are we so obsessed with buying them for our dogs?

It’s all down to their natural instincts & how they display them - they have a natural desire to chew for multiple reasons such as;
- Dental hygiene
- Strengthens jaw muscles
- Mental stimulation & stress relief
- Nutritional supplementation
- Convenient

Not giving your dog safe chews can result in “bad” or undesirable behaviours that stem from feeling unfulfilled (such as chewing the furniture!)

If you’re not sure what chew would be best for your pet, send us a message! 🐶🐾

Despite the current weather (sorry honey 🤣) it’s looking like it’s going to get pretty warm again this coming week!

I’ll be going through my calendar and moving all walks forward / later & will notify everyone if the timings have changed and if you will require a pop in during the day!

As usual, cancellations during these temperatures are expected so if you feel you need to cancel their walk that’s absolutely okay - the pets come first! 🌥️🐾

Let’s talk uniform! 👔👞

I always try and wear at least one of my branded pieces of clothing when I’m out completing services - wether that’s my hat, coat, gilet or my shirts, I always try and have at least one thing with my logo on! But why?

I think it makes us recognisable in public (so people can see who is walking your pets), it makes us trustworthy (you can see right away what business we belong to!) and I think it makes us look professional - it holds trust in us as a company, it holds us accountable & promotes a trustworthy, reliable service and most of all - it gives you peace of mind that your pet is being cared for by a dog walking company that pays attention to those little details! 😍🐾
