🔥🥵Hi all!

With the hot weather at the moment, please try to avoid walking your dog before their grooming appointments if possible. I know this sounds obvious, but even short walks in the heat can leave them tired, overheated, with elevated heart rate before their groom. A quick toilet trip beforehand is absolutely fine 😊

After trying every fan possible and keeping the salon as cool as i can, I’ve finally had to bite the bullet and get air conditioning fitted 🐾

The dogs’ safety and comfort will always come first, especially during the warmer months. Grooming can already be stressful for some pups, and high temperatures just aren’t fair on them — particularly the older dogs, thick-coated breeds, brachycephalic and anxious babies.

It’s a huge investment for a small business, but knowing the salon will stay cool, safe, and comfortable for every dog that walks through the door makes it completely worth it ❤️ Also means no rescheduling dogs 🤪

Now accepting donations, lottery wins, or anonymous millionaires to help pay for it 😂💸

Bring on summer… we’re ready for it now ☀️🐶

🚧 A40 Over Bridge Refurbishment – Gloucester
We’re carrying out essential repair and maintenance work on the A40 Over Bridge near Gloucester from June 2026 to March 2027.
To keep our teams and road users safe, there will be:

⚠️ Lane closures
⛔ Full closures
🔁 Contraflow (one lane in each direction)
🚗 30mph speed limit

📅 Key phases:

8 June 2026 – March 2027: Slip road from A417 to A40 westbound closed 24/7 (use roundabout 🔄)
29 June – July 2026: Lane closures in both directions
July – October 2026: Eastbound closed → contraflow in place
October 2026 – January 2027: Westbound closed → contraflow in place
January – February 2027: Lane closures both directions
February – March 2027: Full bridge closures (dates TBC)

❗Important notes:

No right turn for westbound traffic into Over Farm, Toby Carvery or Horseshoe Drive (use Highnam roundabout 🔄)
🚗 Significant delays expected – plan ahead and use alternative routes where possible

✅ While disruptive, this work will extend the bridge’s lifespan and create a more reliable route
