Hey guys,
There'll probably be a bit of radio silence tonight as we've just said goodbye to the oldest member of our pack, Roxi.
Roxi came to us as an Emergency foster whilst the rescue had closed down over the Christmas period.
She was a Pub dog who had landed herself in kennels after running away from the Pub she lived in. After a long, unsuccessful period of phoning the establishment to try and reunite her with her owner, someone finally picked up the phone to say they'd moved away and it was now under new management..so her 7 day countdown at the kennels started π
We Gladly took the gorgeous girlie in on the understanding that it was temporary, but when we took her to our annual New Year rally, we let her stretch her legs and try racing, and she ran like the wind. This untrained, out of shape pub dog, put some of our seasoned racers to shame. So she stayed and she did us proud. She was the most loving, dramatic, entertaining girl.
We're absolutely heart broken to say goodbye, but at nearly 16 years old, she was ready to take her final journey β€οΈ
Hug your babies tight for us this evening and enjoy one more shining star in the sky tonight π
