Finally, For our last post for Registered Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month, we’re delighted to introduce our lovely student nurse, Jodie! 🐾

“Hi, I’m Jodie, a second-year BSc Veterinary Nursing student at SRUC Aberdeen, and I recently began my placement at Ferguson Veterinary Clinic. I’m incredibly proud to be the first student veterinary nurse at the practice and very grateful for the warm support from the team.

This placement has given me the opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge into practice while continuing to develop my clinical and practical skills in such a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

I’m passionate about animal care and love supporting patients through every stage of their treatment and recovery. I’m excited to continue learning and growing throughout my veterinary nursing journey.

At home, I have two Springer Spaniels and a cat, which makes my love for animals even stronger!” 🐶🐱

We have come to the end of Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month. We have been proud to celebrate our incredible nursing team and recognise the vital role they play within our practice every single day. From patient advocacy and inpatient care to anaesthesia monitoring, client support, and everything in between, our RVNs bring exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication to every case. We asked some of our vets to share a few words about the nurses they work alongside, and their quotes reflect just how valued and appreciated our nursing team truly are. 💙
