This is so sad but it’s the reality. People surrender and don’t consider the financial implications for the remainder of the pet’s life. There’s no assistance for rescues and it is often self funded. 😔 🐾🐾

I’ve cried buckets today, for this handsome fellow called Walter; he is off over the rainbow bridge 🌈 to join his old pal Hamish. 🐾🐾🙏😔

❤️❤️❤️ update… two very kind followers have offered to help. ❤️

‼️ 🙏 is there anyone who would like to do a charitable thing and help me out on just two occasions, to take about seven bags of piggy waste, to the recycle centre, please?! Genuine reason for asking. I do it weekly but need help on the afternoons of 2nd and 9th August (as late on the day as possible). It will all be bagged and tied up. PM me if you can help even on just one of the days.

The world of rescue can be a sad one and today is one of those days. Poor wee soul. I will never understand the ill treatment of some humans, towards animals. Rest in peace, little one.
(I hope they find the offenders, spray paint them and insist they work for a year, for free, in an animal rescue facility. 😞😡🙏

Heartbreaking news 💔 Honey, the hedgehog found covered in bright paint, has sadly died despite the best efforts of wildlife rescuers. 😡

She was discovered in a garden after yobs painted her, believed, to be like sonic. The poor thing was unable to roll into a proper protective ball and was struggling to breathe due to toxic fumes.

Rescuers spent hours painstakingly scrubbing her individual spines to give her a fighting chance. 🙏

Tragically, plans to return a fully recovered Honey to the wild were cut short when she passed away yesterday. A police investigation is now underway to find those responsible for the cruel act.

Our thoughts are with the shelter team who tried so hard to save her. Rest in peace, Honey 💔
