Nutraren is formulated to aid kidney health!

It can either be given as a gel capsule or squeeze over food. It can be given to both cats and dogs in the same way.

It works by:
• Supporting healthy renal function
• Helps support long-term kidney health
• Aids healthy kidney function
• Helps bind toxins in the gut
• Helps maintain kidney architecture
• It has high purity Omega-3 from fish oils

It is a vet select product which means it's not available to order online, but can be collected from vet practices💙

Why do we recommend flea and tick treatment and why do we recommend it to be veterinary strength?

Fleas can be difficult to get rid of if they start an infestation which is why we usually recommend preventive measures as aposed to treating an established infestation.
Ticks can be very sneaky and like to latch on in the most unsuspecting places. It's hard to locate them all to remove them, but treatment can help get rid of them even when we can't see them.

Veterinary products tend to be more effective than over the counter products for a few different reasons:

🪳Over the counter products tend to target only adult fleas and ticks, leaving immature stages to continue to develop and re-infest.

🪳Prescription medications tend to target multiple species of parasites

🪳Over the counter products aren't regulated, which means some products don't have any ingredients which actually kill fleas and ticks

Vet prescription treatments are much more regulated, and tested. Because of this, we need to see pets every 6 months in order to keep prescribing treatments.

Is your pets microchip details up to date?💙

It's so important to have your pets microchip details up to date as it's the main way we can reconnect owners with their lost pets.

It's also super important to make sure the microchip is registered. It being implanted doesn't automatically register the chip to your details, and they don't automatically change over from breeders to owners either.

If you're worried your chip isn't up to date but you don't know which company your pets microchip is registered to please don't hesitate to get in touch so we can check💙

Nutravet are a company that specialises in supplements from capsules to help with anxiety through to supplements for aging pets. Once a month we'll go into more depth about one of their supplements.

All their supplements are over the counter medications so they can be dispensed without needing a vet appointment💙

Sadly a little young black and white cat has been brought into the practice. The little one is a young female (over one but younger than 5/6 we believe). No collar and no microchip. Found on Andrew Street.

Most kennels/Catteries and boarders like at least 2 weeks leeway between their vaccinations and boarding with them. Give us a call or email to check if your little ones are all up to date and ready for their holiday while you get ready for yours☀️
