๐พ Keep pets indoors with windows and curtains closed to reduce noise and flashes.
๐คEver considered Blackout blinds/curtains? These can really help your pets by reducing noise/light and reduce energy bills!
๐ถ Provide background noise such as calming music or television. Preparing in advance playing firework noises on TV may also help.
๐ถโโ๏ธ Exercise dogs earlier in the day before fireworks begin.
๐ Create a quiet, secure space or den where your pet can retreat to if they feel anxious.
โ๏ธPrepare in advance and buy pheromone diffusers at least a few weeks in advance to diffuse into the atmosphere and combat your pets stress pheromones such as Adaptil, Feliway, Pet Remedy and Catnip.
๐ If your pet shows signs of severe distress, speak to your veterinary team โ there are calming products and behavioural strategies that can help.
