Mimble A Coeliac’s Nightmare 19/08/23 - 23/05/26 ❤️🩹
I didn’t think the day would ever come that I’d have to say goodbye to my wonderful CeCe. She was fit as a fiddle her whole 33 months of life and didn’t show signs of slowing down until yesterday. She was even jumping up onto the bed from the floor just a few nights ago and zooming round the lounge yesterday.
Not only was she an absolute beauty of a rat, earning her status as a platinum varieties champion with 17 stars at 11 months old (she technically has 19 stars as she won 2 at her first show with Helen as a kitten). She was also such a sweet, calm and collected lady, truly the queen of unbothered. She never had any issues with meeting new rats, as she was more interested in going for an explore on her own. Zooming around the place was her absolute favourite thing to do.
She gave me two wonderful litters, although she did try to abandon her second one. Without her, there wouldn’t have been Dumpling Rats. Her legacy lives on in every single shaded line Dumpling. I hope to one day create at least one rat that measures up to her in temperament, health and looks.
Thank you Helen for giving me CeCe, her sister Hayley and the motivation to breed for Wheaten. I have fallen in love with Wheaten as a variety because of CeCe.
