Happy World Animal Welfare Day 💜🐾
I have noticed some time ago how easy it is to get stuck in your little bubble of people who either know and understand animals or those who don’t have anything to do with them and are not too bothered. It’s normal and it’s okay!
You do, however, loose some touch to what the other side is up to.
After running a lecture on dog body language at my office a few months ago, I still get colleagues telling me how they started seeing dogs differently, how they notice the subtle tongue flick from an office dog that is asking for space or an overly excited pup that needs the space to rest and rewind.
And I think that’s beautiful! There’s lots of lectures and other educational events happening this weekend, so I encourage all of you to challenge yourself and be curious.
Maybe that one lecture you attend or an article your read this weekend, even if you don’t own a dog, will change the way you see our four-legged buddies that are around you daily 🐕
