Hello everyone old and new!

It's been fairly quiet on my page over the past 6 months, hasn't it? This is due to a part-time job taking priority over looking after your pets, but now that I've finishing that job, I'm looking to fill up my books for Spring!

I will be taking bookings in 3-monthly blocks, so I'm opening my books now from end of February, to end of April.

If you're new here, please send me a message for more info!

Meet Charlie. This little Maltese pup was rescued from an abusive home at an early age by his wonderful owner, but you would never be hard-pressed to tell he had such a difficult beginning!

An absolute pleasure to have around, Charlie was hilarious, affectionate and calming presence for his week-long stay while his owner took a much-deserved, long-overdue holiday. We'd be thrilled to see him again in the future.

Made a visit in June to my regular cat pals Sooty and Scruffy while their owners' were enjoying some European sun! Always a pleasure to hang out with them, (especially when they feel like hanging out with me, too). Will be seeing them a few more times this year, so expect even more pictures of the little stunners.

This little lady is the very aptly named Toffee, due to the colour of her coat, as well as how sweet she is.

We had her over for a single night in Feb in the lead up to her holiday, and as you can see she was immediately comfortable in our home, enjoying curling up on the sofa, or and being swaddled after the rain.

More pictures from her longer stay to come!

***CLIENTS OLD AND NEW, PLEASE READ***

I may be a millennial but I've never been very good at maintaining a regular page, which is why this has been neglected for a few months!

I've still been very active with your pets (posts to come soon), but this post serves as a little update for all that follow and for any new clients, specifically to change how I operate as Baillieston Pet Sitter!

Owing to new circumstances we will now only be taking on small-to-medium sized dogs that are okay being left alone for 3-4 hours between 2-3 days of a weeks' stay.

We also require a one-night stay in the lead-up to determine if we're a good match before a longer stay. This used to be an optional night, but we've changed this to make it a mandatory booking in order to see if we're a good fit for your pet.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm still actively checking my inbox!

Another long weekend visit to the home of Sooty and Scruffy back in October. As this visit was my third, they're now completely used to me - always taking space by my side (or, in Sooty's case, in between me and my laptop screen...) and always up for chasing a makeshift feather toy. It's always a pleasure to take care of them.

Pictured are my friends' beautiful sisters Layla and Maimou, two rescues that reside in Berlin who were an excellent addition to our stay when we visited at the beginning of December.

Before the unrelenting craziness that was December (and November... and October...), we had wee Maggie stay over with us for a pleasant weekend. Whether she was chilling out and drying off by a pub fireplace after a long frosty walk, or sidled up to one of us under a series of blankets, she was totally relaxed and happy to have her own little holiday at our home. We're looking forward to seeing Maggie again, whenever that may be!

Books are now open from now until the end of April; please get in touch if you have any enquiries.

At the end of July, we saw the return of little and large (Casper and Caesar) for an extended two-week break, where they spent the majority of time claiming the garden as their own and relaxing in the patchy sun, or falling quickly asleep in curious positions or curled up on our laps.

Contact me for more bookings, where I can accommodate single nights, weekends, or full weeks (dependent on availability).

My first visit to the brother and sister duo Sooty and Scruffy was mostly spent entertaining Scruffy, and finding Sooty behind the sofa/under the bed/hiding in a cupboard, but this second time in July was very different. Sooty immediately took to me and settled in place curled up in my lap or sat beside me while Scruffy watched jealously from afar! Her showing trust was a great reward for my patience and for future visits, I no longer have to worry about where she might have gone.

Please send a message if you need your cats looked after: either for full sits or regular check-ins.

A few more issues were faced with being locked out of this account, but fingers crossed, it seems to be all sorted!

Apologies for all the ignored requests, I could read them but was unable to reply. I'll be contacting those who messaged where the date requests have yet to pass, but first I'll be uploading plenty of pictures from a summer of boarding/cat sitting.

Pictured is Willow, another cute addition to my sisters' family.

First off, apologies for any delays in responses from me, I've had near-endless issues with getting locked out of my account or not being able to post anything. Fingers crossed that has been resolved now.

Secondly, prepare for a LOT of pictures of your pets from the past two months of boarding. I'll post them throughout the rest of this week.

Pictured is our cloudy friend Dango the Samoyed who graced us with his regal presence for a few days at the end of August.
