We urge everyone to please look after your dogs in this heat. If you must walk your pup, do it in the late evenings when the pavements are cooler and ensure to keep them hydrated throughout the day.

I love big dogs so how lucky was I to have this gorgeous puppy come and visit me for puppy cuddles 🥰. Look at the size of her paws!!!
She had a good sniff round and took everything in her stride and then decided to take a nap 😴

With fireworks night this week for some of our fur babies it can be a stressful time. Here are a couple of tips to help them stay calm at this time of year. 🐶

🐾 Find a quiet space they can retreat to where they feel safe - a favourite toy or blanket could be there so they feel cozy and secure.

🐾 Have their favourite treats to hand to distract them and help them feel more positive.

🐾. Stay calm yourself, this will make them feel calm and secure too. Close the curtains and cuddle up with them.

🐾. The Dogs Trust are running a special Bonfire Night Channel (Sky 310 from Nov 1-6) especially for dogs which can be played to help mask the noise or perhaps ask Alexa to calm your pet.

With the sun ☀️ returning I saw this and thought it was full of helpful tips to keep our doggies happy, safe and enjoying this lovely weather with us. 🐶🐾💖

As the temperature is set to rise tomorrow, remember to keep your dog cool. Don’t exercise them in the hottest parts of the day, and watch out for signs of heatstroke.
