Lovely ladies Tinkerbell and Bambi have been in their new forever home for a few weeks now and they’re getting on great which is so lovely to see!!!

A little update from their new home 🥰

“Hello! Thought we’d send a little update on how Tinkerbell and Bambi are doing (now called Dora and Winnie). They have already settled so well, they have both found their favourite spots to relax and have been very playful. They are very friendly and affectionate already and we are so happy with them! They had their second vaccination yesterday and got chipped too, they were very well behaved at the vets. Thank you for letting us adopt them, we love them so much already

The girls have definitely landed on their paws, thank you to Sam and Adam for giving these girls the best new start!

Meet Freddie!

Freddie is a 2 year old, male Patterdale, Poodle crossbreed.

Freddie came in to our care with his brother, Hunter, as their owner was unable to look after them.
The boys have decided that they don’t particularly like each other so we are wanting to rehome them separately.

Freddie is going to be a bit of a project for someone. He has not been very well socialised, so, although not aggressive, he has absolutely no manners with both humans and other dogs and can be a bit much at first. He is beginning to calm down but it will be a work in progress for him and his new owner.

We were told that out of the two brothers, Freddie is the more affectionate one, and absolutely loves a cuddle, but please bare in mind that he may be a dog who has to stay on lead as he does have an incredibly high prey drive.

We would like Freddie’s new owner to be around most of the day to help him settle.
We do not believe that Freddie would suit a home with young children, and would like him to be the only pet in the home.

Meet Skye!

Skye is a neutered, 3 year old female bunny.

She is quite possibly one of the friendliest young ladies to have been a resident at the shelter and absolutely loves a cuddle!
She is very relaxed, loves attention, being handled, and we are told she loves children!!

Rabbits can sometimes be the wrong choice of pet for children but it is possible that this pretty girl could be the exception.

As a bonus, she seems to be fully litter trained!

Previous rabbit experience is always a bonus but not a necessity and we would require pictures of your set up as well.

Another update from Narly pops! How happy does she look?!
Thank you again to Laura and Paul for giving her the best forever home! 🥰

“Hi

Just an update about Narla, and quite a big one!

She’s been doing great still, happy and healthy, and we got gifted a wisdom panel DNA test for her. The results are attached and are very cool, she’s mainly a boxer, greyhound and American bulldog mix. Her sleeping positions are definitely very greyhound 😂

We have also found out she LOVES the beach, even the ocean haha. We’ve been a few times now and she’s always fast asleep on the car on the way back.

We just want to thank you all again for letting us take this beautiful girl home and taking care of her while she was with you. She’s fitted in so well and her personality has been coming out more and more each week, she can be quite vocal now when she’s excited and playing 😂

We’re currently looking into dog trainers to help with her reactivity, hopefully get her calmer when other dogs are around so she can enjoy her walks more and new places. We’ll let you know how it goes :)

Think Ralphy’s been a bit hot the past few days, perfect excuse to laze around and do nothing 🥰☀️

We’d just like to let everyone know of some incredibly sad news.

Today we said goodbye to the one who was quite possibly the longest standing member of the Bryson’s family, the lovely Rhiannon.

Rhiannon was an older girl of around 37 years old and had been living with age related health conditions for quite some time. This had been managed with pain relief and regular vet and farrier visits and she lived a lovely life out in the field with Wanda.

Today we made the very sad and difficult decision to put her to sleep. She has been suffering with a shoulder issue for a week or so and the vet isn’t sure whether she had also suffered some form of stroke, so this decision, although difficult, was absolutely the best one for her.

She came in to the shelter as a foal around 37 years ago, and was rehomed with another pony called Thomas, with both of them coming back into our care when their owners emigrated.
She was one of those ponies who just kept going, and every time we thought it was the end, she managed to bounce right back.
We’ll miss seeing her face on the yard, and the quiet, calm, reserved and sometimes rather shy nature that she had.
Although sad, we’re very happy that we made the right decision for her at the end.

Any pictures or memories of this lovely girl are more than welcome.

In case anyone has a concerns for her lovely pal, Wanda, we have little Jack keeping her company for now so hopefully this period is as easy as possible for her.

We just wanted to let everyone know, and thank you so much to everyone who has made today so peaceful for Rhiannon.
