I'm Hayley (for those that don't already know or guessed!) and I am the sole trader of Hayley's Hounds. Providing your dog with a high quality one to one grooming session in a personal, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. My services include:-

Please be aware if your dog

is matted this may incur an extra charge for de-matting. It is very unfair to put your dog through this stressful and painful procedure, so in some extreme cases it maybe advised to strip your dog right down and start again from scratch. As I work alone and need my body to last for at least another 30years I'm afraid I have to have a maximum size dog that I will groom.

Just a little reminder for all my lovely clients 🐾

I always do my very best to keep everyone informed about availability, recommended grooming schedules, and how busy things can get. I try to post updates, advise on how often your dog should be groomed, and suggest booking appointments in advance (ideally 1–2 ahead).

Going forward, I kindly ask that you take responsibility for booking your dog’s appointments in good time. I’m unable to chase or remind each client individually, and last-minute spaces are rare.

Please also keep in mind that if your dog’s recommended schedule is, for example, 6–8 weeks, but you choose to wait longer (e.g. 9–10 weeks due to availability), this can impact the groom. Longer coats can require more bathing, drying time, and product, and may also cause delays to following appointments. In these cases, additional charges may apply.

To avoid this, booking closer to the earlier end of your recommended schedule is always best.

I also understand that not all groomers work the same, and some may be happy to take dogs that go longer between grooms—and that’s absolutely okay. However, I do need to work in a way that allows me to maintain my standards and schedule, so I appreciate your understanding with this.

Apologies for the late update with availabilities and for being delayed in replies this week but I've had a few days off this week – and it’s been a very busy few weeks! Here are my available appointments for the next two months. Please note that May includes several bank holidays, so availability is already quite limited.

I believe I’ve sent a copy of my Terms & Conditions to most clients, but if you haven’t received them yet, please feel free to message me and I’ll happily send them over.

Just a little reminder of how I work: I focus on maintenance grooming, and all regular clients are kept on a consistent grooming schedule. This is really important for maintaining your dog’s coat condition and, most importantly, their comfort and wellbeing.
If you feel your dog can comfortably go much longer between grooms than the timeframe I recommend, then my approach may not be the right fit for you – and that’s absolutely okay. My priority is always the health and comfort of the dogs in my care.

It’s been a little while — sorry about that, life just got in the way! I’m all caught up and now that we’ve finally survived the longest month of the year (yes January… the one that feels about 476 days long 😏), it’s time to get back on track!
