Be it a walk at dinner time when your stuck at work all day, spending the day with us going on adventures when you fancy a break or coming for their own holiday whilst you're away. If you wonder why we're so cautious in the heat, this is why!!!
This dog was brought to our woods on an overcast day, when it was about 15°C and within minutes of being there, he was in this state, just after I finished filming he lost control of his bladder and bowel and his breathing had turned to a high pitched whistle. The reason I was able to video it was because there were 2 other walkers there doing what was needed to get this dog to a vet immediately, otherwise he would have absolutely died. Then I'm driving around today, only to see some absolute whoppers out with their shorts and vest tops, because it's hot, but they have their dogs out, running around or walking on the pavement! 🤬. I get that this video is quite distressing to see, but I'm not sure what it's going to take for people to listen and NOT WALK DOGS ON HOT DAYS!!!

Unfortunately tomorrow will also be a walk free day, it's just not safe, but if you need us to pop in to see your dogs f...

Unfortunately tomorrow will also be a walk free day, it's just not safe, but if you need us to pop in to see your dogs for toilet breaks, just let us know. We've seen that Friday looks hot too, but we're hoping we can get at least 1 morning walk done 🤞🏼

Sorry guys but it's due to get up to 21°C by 8am and therefore will be too hot to take dogs out on walks. If anyone will need to be out all day and can not make other arrangements, we can pop in to do toilet breaks if needed, just let us know.

⚠️ Tomorrow we will be doing short, early walks before the heat gets dangerously high, but if you'd prefer to keep your dog at home, just let us know. We will keep checking the forecast but at the minute, it looks like it will be too hot to do any walks Wednesday and Thursday as it's set to be 22/23°C by 9am, if it is too hot to walk and you need us to, we can do toilet visits. 🥵

Tomorrow looks quite manageable, but the rest of the week is looking warm, particularly so on Tuesday, and so we will assess the heat each day but we may need to shorten walks, change the times or even cancel some and just do garden breaks for the dogs if you are out all day. Better to be safe than sorry in this weather, your dog might be bored stuck in the house but that won't kill it, the heat might 👍🏼
