The 3 R's Horse Rescue Centre. Tele 07856 508 157 Rehabilitation and retraining of aggressive, unchangeable and unsociable horses and ponies with no aggressive behaviour from us Humans. G & S 2020

The 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre- Gatehouse of Fleet - Scotland is a registered charity of Scotland SC047724

The organisation’s purposes are:
1) The advancement of animal welfare by the rescuing of equines in need, where their health and wellbeing are threatened and bringing them to a place of safety.
2) The advancement of animal welfare via the rehabilitation of rescued equines, through groundwork,

agility and ridden work.
3) The advancement of animal welfare through the rehoming of rehabilitated equines to suitably vetted homes.
4) The advancement of education for young adults and children who have experienced emotional and behavioural issues. We will achieve this by robust teaching by ensuring equality and diversity are at the heart of all that we do. We will teach life skills and encourage young people at risk to re-engage with services. We will promote the volunteering project to support people to have purposeful and fulfilled lives, this in turn will benefit the wider community by reducing crime through rehabilitation at the 3’R’s
5) The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. We would achieve this by having designated projects teaching equine care and the importance of incorporating land management and how this influences the ecosystem of the area by protecting wildlife and insects.
6) To advance the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages. To create volunteering opportunities. To provide a safe working and educational environment for all volunteers. We would achieve this by opening our volunteer opportunities to all. We want anyone with an interest in horses and land management to get involved, work as part of our team, learn new skills, gain confidence and knowledge with no financial cost.
7) To advance the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. We would achieve this by improving the 3 R’s centre with the support of our highly trained volunteers, schools and youth groups. We would have designated projects which will support the purposes of the 3 R’s. The 3 R’s is our motivation & passion. We couldn’t do it without the help and support of this very special bunch of people that have came together to make it what it is today… thank you one and all.

Important Announcement from 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre

After much reflection and with heavy hearts, we are announcing the closure of 3Rs Horse Rescue Centre.

Over the years, we have experienced unforgettable highs—witnessing broken and abandoned horses find healing, hope, and forever homes. We've seen miracles happen in muddy paddocks, felt the warmth of community at every fundraiser, and shared countless moments of joy and connection between humans and horses.

But as many of you know, rescue work is not without its challenges. The emotional, physical, and financial demands have taken their toll, and we've come to the difficult decision that it is time to close this chapter.

To every volunteer, donor, adopter, vet, farrier, and friend—you have been the heart and soul of this mission. We could never have done it without you. Because of your support, so many horses have been given a second chance.

As we wind down, our priority remains the welfare of the animals still in our care, and we are working hard to ensure each one finds a safe and loving place to land.

Thank you for believing in the 3Rs. This may be the end of the road for the centre, but the legacy of rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming lives on in every life we've touched.
