House martin removal, clean-up, and prevention job on a property where the birds had previously been nesting under the eaves.
House martins migrate all the way from Africa each year to the UK and often return to the same nesting ground year after year. Their nests are made from hundreds of small pellets of mud mixed with their saliva, carefully built up to form the familiar cup-shaped nests under roofs and eaves.
The nests I dealt with were dormant and inactive, meaning they had been left from the previous season before the birds return again in spring.
While impressive structures, these nests can cause a lot of mess and staining on walls, windows, and patios if left unmanaged.
• Safely removed the dormant nests and debris
• Carried out a full clean-up of the affected areas
• Installed prevention measures to stop future nesting in problem spots
The result: a clean property and long-term protection going forward. ✔️
