Working with dogs is both my business and my passion but in overall reality it has simply become a way of life. Above everything else I just love dogs and have been totally absorbed by them for as long as I can remember. My total aim is to help owners enjoy their dogs at all levels whilst understanding them more and meeting their needs; this ultimately brings about happier dogs and happier owners.
Many people love their dogs immensely but do not fully understand their wants and needs which have to be ultimately fulfilled to enable them to fit fully and properly into family homes. Helping to correct and improve difficult dog behaviour has become one of the major areas of my work and one I fully enjoy. To be able to help owners assist in aiding their dogs reach their full potential, whilst eradicating annoying, challenging or aggressive behaviour, is a satisfying opportunity for me. Although in recent years I have been working towards a degree in dog training and behaviour through the Cambridge Institute and Middlesex University, much of my research and certainly experience has been gained through canine observation and practice over the years. There are rarely quick fixes in working with dogs, although sometimes surprisingly good results are achieved very quickly. No two dogs are totally alike, just as no two people are. Understanding, patience and an ability to work as a team are always necessary when dogs and people come together- my aim is to simply help owners enjoy and understand their pets more than they could have ever imagined. Through teaching with reward, socialisation, effective communication and consistency, dogs can become the most loyal, trustworthy and rewarding companions. In essence what I bring along with gained experience and ‘know how’ is the opportunity for dog owners to have knowledgeable support to help them through any difficulties to really understand, appreciate and love, mankind’s most valued friend.
