Buttercup, 12 Years Old 🐴
We’re offering Buttercup, a 12-year-old, 13.2hh Connemara pony, for sale.
We bought Buttercup from a friend last year, where she had a fantastic competitive background in Pony Club mounted games. She competed up to Zone Final level, both as part of a team and in pairs. Buttercup has also competed at Senior level at Blair Castle Horse Trials – she's no stranger to a big atmosphere!
While we haven’t continued games at the same level, she’s proven to be a brilliant all-rounder for us. Buttercup absolutely loves her job – she’s been out hunting, taken part in common ridings, fun rides, and even had a go at pony racing. She’s forward-going, enthusiastic, and thrives on variety.
She will go in the school, but it’s not her favourite job, so she needs a competent and confident rider to get the best from her in that setting.
Buttercup is forward-thinking and fun, with plenty of experience and miles under her belt.
We sold her earlier this year as my daughter outgrew her, but unfortunately, her new home wasn’t the right match – she proved a bit too clever and forward for their young daughter.
She would suit a confident child, teen, or small adult looking for a fun and forward pony to enjoy hacking, hunting, and fun rides, with a bit of schoolwork here and there.
