Happy Tuesday guys! I hope we’re all appreciating the cooler temperatures 😎 I’m pleased to say that I’m able to take on some physios again, whilst I’m still not quite fully recovered I am however able to complete physiotherapy sessions pain free 😆 so why not get booked in… as spaces will be limited 👌 hope to see you all soon

HEAT WAVE COMING 🥵
Here’s a few little tips for helping keep your horses comfortable in the hot weather
*Give access to any shade/shelter available (check buildings for coolness and ventilation)
*Give access to plenty of fresh clean water, the average 500kg horse can drink up to 50-70 litres in hot weather
*Apply sun cream and or fly masks to pink faces to avoid burning
*Make feeds more sloppy to give extra hydration
*Avoid rugging if possible, I know it’s hard with ones that suffer sweet itch etc, you know your horse best
*Ride when cooler, either first thing or later on if cooled down enough. A day or two without won’t hurt
*Cold hose, you don’t need to scrape the water off, just soak them with cool water 🚿
*Avoid travelling where possible, they don’t need to be like sardines in a tin 😆

Keep safe everyone and make sure you all stay hydrated and enjoy the sun safely 😎 ✌️ xx

Evening folks, just to update, I went for surgery today for a medical condition I’ve had for a while and whilst I’m glad it’s finally done but it does render me out of action for a while 😢 but fear not! My diary is still open for bookings towards end of July/August time at the earliest when I can resume some form of attempt at normality on the physio side, but if you have any concerns with your four legged friends I am at the end of the phone for advise.
Thank you to those who have kept me busy on the run up to this day and I hope to see you all again soon enough and meet some new faces too 😁 see you all in the other side xx
