Please share 💔
This makes hard reading folks. Anyone with any information please contact on 101 quoting the incident number at the bottom of this post. (If we can make it clear that we are posting this to find this person responsible so no other dog/pet/ person will have to endure what this poor dog has gone through and no more injuries incurred through any other dogs they have!).
We wish a speedy recovery to all who were injured. 💔
We are hoping people will be able to recall Friday 18th April, it was Good Friday and a lot of people may have taken time off work or went out to meet friends or Family.
We have thought long and hard about posting on social media, but we have all come to the conclusion if we can stop this man from harming other children, pets and members of the public then we have to do the right thing and to ask for help.
In Kinmuck at 14.24 on Friday 18th April a black male in a metallic blue MG ZS removed a female XL Bully from the back of his vehicle and drove away. He was aware there were members of the public in situ, as he waved and acknowledged them as he pulled away. This was not simply a case of a dog being abandoned, what was to happen next had devastating consequences. Within minutes of being abandoned this dog had attacked three people and two dogs. One of the dogs was mauled badly and required life saving intervention. The people involved witnessed a horrific and violent attack both upon themselves and the other dogs. The brave young child had managed to escape to get help. The other dog whom was being attacked, was rescued by another brave member of the public. They were also bitten. We want to make it very clear that we do not blame the dog, she was in a terrible condition and was very emaciated. We cannot imagine what she had been through to look and behave as she did. Had this dog been healthy or a male dog, it was made clear that there could have been a loss of life. Another member of the public also intervened and went to prevent other members of the public walking into where the XL Bully was situated as they were out only a small distance away walking their dogs that afternoon.
The vehicle in question was also caught on CCTV at 13.16 in Kinmuck, so just over an hour before the attack. This is very strange as this is not a frequently used road, and to be here twice in such a short space of time is interesting.
Please if you think you know ANYTHING, we need your help. We could then prevent this man from doing anything like this again. We feel when young children, innocent passers by and beloved pets are put at risk then it’s time to ask for information that may lead to the prevention of a loss of life in the future. I think also for those of us that live in rural Aberdeenshire it does not bear thinking about the risk this man posed to nearby livestock by dumping the dog in this way. The dog who went on to attack us all had clearly had a terrible life, and animal cruelty to this level is not acceptable and is also not fair on all the very responsible XL Bully dog owners out there.
The crime reference is CR/0154694/25. Incident 1979.
