Second litters of hedgehogs are now arriving, The hoglet pictured here is a survivor after his mother was beaten to death with a metal pole by a youth in Kirby Cross. The RSPCA have launched an investigation. If you find a little hedgehog at this time of year place it in a box with a towel-wrapped hot water bottle and call Wildlives for advice. Many are too small to survive hibernation without help.

Please note, we do not recommend the feeding of mealworms without proper adequate supplements alongside, as mealworms can cause some issues due to their very low calcium ratio. Any mealworms given at the centre is always fed alongside nutrobal to counteract this.
