I’m going digital!!
Something I’ve been meaning to do for a while just to keep everyone’s details more secure and easier for me to find rather than sifting through all the client cards I currently have to find your pets details. This morning I had yet another no show which has given me a kick up the bum that I need to become more ‘business-ish’ rather than just saying oh never mind. That’s £45 I’ve lost from today that I can’t just keep absorbing. I also can’t keep whinging about no shows and not do anything about it so my business hat is now on! This software allows me keep notes on all my dogs, what service they need and also send out texts and email reminders.
At your next grooming I will be asking if the details I already have for you are still correct
and possibly take down email addresses etc.
Change is a happening, my next job will be to enforce no show fees which I need to think more about.

🎉🎉🎉Happy new year guys! 🎉🎉🎉
Bit of a cold start to 2025 but I’m back to it on Tuesday after over two weeks off which was very needed after the Christmas rush!
Now all three of my girls are settled back into school life and happy at new schools I can slowly start taking on new customers. So if anyone you know needs a groomer do give them my number however appointments won’t be instant as I am still busy with existing customers so please give me plenty of notice. I am still unable at present to handstrip annoyingly but all other services are available. I’m continuing to work on a one to one basis however going forward I would like to start closing in on some time that I loose inbetween grooms waiting for owners to collect and drop off, so there may be a 5 minute overlap for some dogs. Although saying this, I do have some very reactive dogs towards other dogs and of course will continue to ensure there is no overlap for these dogs.
Here’s to another busy year, this will be my 7th year in business and very proud that I can continue to grow with you all!

Today Whitegate Grooming turns 6 years old!!
6 years I’ve been grooming all your beautiful babies, 6 years of building relationships with you all that have meant the world to me and my small little business! December is always a crazy busy month so for the next three weeks I’ll be out in my room with all the dogs getting them Christmas ready. Thank you to everyone who has joined me over the past 6 years, I think every year of all the dogs we have sadly lost this year but all the puppies that come on board helps the sad moments. Here’s to many more special moments with you all!!

Hi everyone! Well that’s summer coming to an end, how quickly has this year gone!!
Some of you may remember my previous post explaining how I was on holiday to Rome, went, had an amazing time just Chris and I but found it quite hard coming back to reality. With four days of no washing, no cooking, no kids shouting at me, no work and no animals to look after I came back and realised just how much I have to do. I know I said in my previous post I was going to take on some more dogs but feel right now is probably not the best time to overload myself about more so for the time being the books will stay closed unfortunately.
Just wanted to put a message out there about my remaining availability for this year which isn’t a lot! If you were thinking of booking for autumn/winter please get in touch now, also Christmas is already looking pretty full so please think ahead a little to avoid disappointment.
Before we know it I’ll be posting cute Christmas photos of all your dogs!
Thanks for everyone’s patience with replying recently, preparing for back to school and working at the same time takes a lot of time.

Hi guys! I’m off all this week with the kids for half term so apologies if you have messaged or called, I’m taking this week to catch up on house work and family time. However, I think I have replied to everyone who has contacted me. I’ve been abit nerdy and made lists of all my customers breaking you all down by grooming schedules of 6,8,9 and 12 weeks. The lady who trained me once told me that 100 dogs will keep me busy full time on my own, I’ve counted you all up and I’m on 104 customers! 😳 This, for me until Martha starts school is still only meant to be a part time job, as you can imagine splitting myself into so many different roles is tricky sometimes! For now I’ll have to put a halt on any new customers unfortunately, I’d like to keep saying yes to everyone but for now it’s sadly books closed! But on the plus side, how lucky am I to have all you loyal customers who keep showing up for me to groom your lovely pooches! I’ll end this post with a beautiful before and after of Pom Jakey.
