🚫 Public warning!

Please be aware that dog owners are being urged to keep their pets away from beaches after reports of some becoming unwell.

Vets across North Yorkshire and Teesside say they have had a number of calls about dogs experiencing sickness and diarrhoea.

Towns and villages along the north coast have been affected, including Scarborough, Whitby, Saltburn and Seaton Sluice on North Tyneside.

It is not yet known what is causing the illness, so we advise you to avoid beeches on daily walks and instead head to green spaces such as local parks and fields.

Tip 3: We've already suggested taking your dog out for their evening potty break earlier - you can actually also move their dinner time to earlier in the day which will then also encourage them to p**p earlier than usual! 😄
